great reimagining of the Royal flush gang
who in the comic books are very much more flamboyant and crazy they really did a good job of grounding them in reality in this episode
Decent episode. It was definitely the most boring one yet, though. I hope that won't always be the case.
Good episode overall, and somewhat an interesting pace seeing Oliver caring more about the city as an whole instead of going after name's on his father's list. Ultimately i like that Diggle wants Oliver to do more as this vigilante. Tommy is really underrated but i enjoy Colin Donnell's performance very much.
The first truly disappointing episode of my rewatch so far; I struggled to find any redeeming qualities about this one, even with my expectations set pretty dang low in the first place. I guess I was entertained by some of Katie Cassidy's line readings? She has a few jokes here that she sells really well.

The Tommy/Thea stuff is pretty icky, cringed the whole time. Doesn't help that I still don't like Colin Donnell. He feels like he's in a teen soap. I guess this show basically is a superhero soap, but he doesn't sync with the other actors, IMO.
It's pretty obvious the writers don't have a ton of stuff worked out for what happened on the island in the flashbacks. I mean, it's fine that they don't have entire arcs planned out, but at least don't make it so obvious you're making it up every week?
