The writing is so bad in this episode.
Of course Oliver, being the cardboard cut out that he is reacting to each and every situation in the same exact way:"Everything that is happening is my fault." Which is getting pretty old...
ARGUS supposed to be this top level intelligence agency, and they have less sophisticated security than McDonalds.
Like the other comment mentioned, ARGUS is clever enough to have biometric scanners but stupid enough to leave their dead agent's biometric data in the system.
Also, it seems like ARGUS base is this large facility, but for some reason, there are no guards between the entrance and the main room. Actually, it seems there is no one there at all, except the people in the main room and the Diggles.
And I'll let it slide how Diggle can MacGyver a monitor (with a receiver) to transmit its signal to a specific monitor in the Arrow's hideout having a clue in electronics...
But the worst of it is when the bad guy, kills a hostage and then gives the heroes 20 minutes to*think about* whether to cooperate with him or not ... Why would you ever do something like this except for the explicit reason of giving them time to screw you over? What is there to think about? Why do you think in 20 minutes time they will be more cooperative than now? Just kill another hostage right now, there is no point in waiting...
It's funny how much emphasis is put on the colour of Felicity's hair, like it actually means something. Also there's no way that a confident person can just naturally progress into an awkward constantly having foot in their mouth individual. It only farther proves that Felicity's quirks are just there as a comic relief and not as an actual authentic side of her character. As far as Arrow goes, this episode wasn't bad, but damn, I think I lost all the hope for this show to be consistently good again.
I don’t understand how none of these armed guards who’ve had probably years of military training can beat a girl who had a few boxing lessons. Laurel being a vigilante makes no sense and that’s why I hate her so much.
Where does Andy have a wiz and dump and where does he sleep?
So they've had Andy here for days now, weeks ? And he was still in that small litle cell, no long enough to walk, no chair to sit, no bed ?
The whole Felicity and her past self story was just bad. Let's leave it at that.
For the rest, the action was not bad, and the episode was mostly enjoyable, but there was so many ridiculous stuff so stupidly written that it makes you mad at it.
Felicity hacking is really like magic now. It's like she can just think the locks off doors. Also now even John can just turn a tv into a radio.
And ARGUS security is such a joke. It's actually painful to watch. They stole an agent eye and NOBODY thought that's why they wanted it ? Or, even without the stolen eye, they didn't disable a dead agent's access ? I mean, you don't even have to know about real security, just to have seen a spy movie in the last 30 years to jump out at that and think how incredibly stupid it is. This is like breaking the fourth wall and just screaming POOR WRITING at the audience.
Waller being killed was a shocker. However, how could Lyla, that hasn't worked there for months, know anything of what Shadowspire is looking for, where to find the information, or have the rights to access it ? Again, ridiculously poor writing.
Flashbacks were ok. Though after all of John's denial that Andy was not the person described in the file, turns out he definitely had been that person in the past, John knew it and that's how he ended up in the army. And that after that, he even saw him associating with people doing exactly that. But no, definitely not the Andy he knew. What a joke.
"I wanted to call you Oracle but is taken" and I was like OMG!!!!!!!!!
Felt a lot like season 2. Also, this is where Arrow Argus (Suicide Squad) ends and the movie comes
Do not be overcome by the past, it has been interesting for Felicity
It's a sad state of affairs when the flashbacks (Diggle's at that) are more enjoyable than the rest of the episode. Don't even get me started on Felicity's plot in this episode. I actually rolled my eyes so far back, I made my eye sockets hurt.
Felicity tries to get rid of the younger version of herself with dyed black hair only she can see. While Diggle must figure out if he can trust his brother or not. When someone they were in the military with turns up.
The Diggle moments with brother were good but the Felicity scenes were weird and unnecessary. All they showed me is that her character ran her course and she is now boring.

While the whole Felicity story is getting more and more annoying, the most ridiculous thing in this episode was that ARGUS did not block the security details for their dead agent with the missing eye. Oh come on...
