This was pretty good. Had they actually brought Laurel back, it would've been excellent, but this episode alone was still better than the entire season 4. I enjoyed the confrontation between Felicity and Black Siren. Curtis and Rene had some cool scenes too. And I dig the new chick, whoever she may be. They're also obviously once again setting up an Oliver/Felicity romance. I guess I'm fine with them getting back together, as long as the other storylines don't suffer because of it. The show has already been almost ruined once because of Olicity. I hope the showrunners have learned their lesson and will do better this time.
After all this time waiting it's finally here. I was afraid something could go wrong after the mid season finally, and here it is. Although disappointed, I enjoyed some parts. To me, the episode wasn't underwhelming, but it had huge standards.
So no Laurel, then. I'm confident the writers hate us so bad. Although not really Laurel, Katie Cassidy killed it tonight. Her Black Siren is basically Ruby from Supernatural in disguise, and I love it. This episode showed me that we've lost one of the best actress in the show.
The biggest flaw of the episode was putting up the idea of Black Siren's redemption and at the end of the episode showing a future Black Canary recruit. The writers have turned Black Canary in a joke on wheels. First, we got Sara, then Laurel, then random girl #1 and now they tease random girl #2 who, surprisingly, has the same powers. I don't think she's gonna pan out, although I'm happy it's not Felicity. The writers have managed to make me get annoyed when Felicity appears on screen, a character that I loved so much in the first two seasons. Another flaw was Ollie descending slowly into stupidity over someone who looks exactly like someone he used to love and whose lost still weights heavily on him. Remember Ollie, you can't lock up the darkness. Although it seems she's been letting the darkness in for centuries.
One of the best parts was Prometheus and Ollie round 2. I just wish the fight wouldn't have end up so abruptly. I love those fight scenes. I really loved the Chase/Diggle storyline. The DA was absolutely great. That awkward moment when Vigilante is defending you and you don't hear he wishpered to you "Hit me". and Curtis' development was great, just becoming who he's supposed to be as a hero. Wild Dog giving him a pep talk was surprisingly unexpected, but I loved it.
I'm looking forward to see Talia AL Ghul in next episodes, although in flashbacks, which is a bit disappointing. I wonder what his connections with Prometheus are.
Laurel?? Omg is that really you?
screams
Hey! Wadafuq was all that about?
screams
Just lemme get back up!
screams
FFS! STFU!
screams
"Insert 'I Feel Good' song here"
Solid episode with the return of Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance's earth-2 doppelganger "Black Siren". I thought that the writers could have dragged this story arc a little longer, but no because that would have cut into the real star of the show, Felicity Smoak. Diggle/ Adrian Chase's story arc is interesting. Wild Dog giving Curtis a pep talk was unexpected, since Rene is the hot-headed cynic of the team. Talia al Ghul will appear in flashback (disappointing) and a female with abilities similar to Black Canary/ Black Siren was introduced at the end of the episode in Hub City. I'm guessing that she will take over the mantle of Black Canary. I'm happy that it will not be Felicity. I never thought that I could hate a character so much, but the writers of the show have pushed me to the point that I cringe every time Felicity is on my screen.
after watching the promo I think it's black siren. Somehow, either she escaped from the pipeline or Laurel turned bad due to Flashpoint. it was too good to be true
I imagine anyone who hasn’t watched flash would be super confused at this point, I guess this answers everyone’s question “do you have to watch flash to watch arrow”, so not really but kinda.
Holy shit. I had to wait 1 second before watching this episode.
No matter how much I try to like Felicity, I just keep coming up with more reasons to not like her. Overall, too many side stories all in one and it felt like a day time soap opera. Really liked the Rene/Curtis bonding and I think it will help the future team. Also very happy that it wasn't Laurel back and she will be gone. Ending intro of new possible Siren seemed kind of...blah. Here's hoping the next episode improves drastically. Plus, bring back Paul and Curtis as a couple...
literally the only good thing about this episode was the horror in curtis' voice as he considered alt-universe him being straight
I can not believe it, the character that I liked the most about the episode is Felicity
getting ridiculous with all super heroes now i mean curtis is now a fully trained crime fighter geeeezz get real
You have failed this show!!! And now my watch ends.
I knew it was Earth-2 Laurel right away. Since the cliffhanger. Plus now Team Arrow takes orders from Felicity now ? Ugh....
This episode we hoped for non-stop Laurel. But got all Felicity with more lame Olicity teases.
God please let it be true. Pleaaaaaase

This episode settles it for me, this is the last Arrow season I'll be watching. I've been keeping up pretty much just to be up to date with the Arrowverse, but I just can't take more of this.
They bring Laurel back as a cliffhanger in the midseason finale... only to lead to a one-episode plot with Black Siren, it just feels so messy. I thought it would be interesting if she actually joined the team as an uneasy alliance, but why do that when you can avoid it and just have another Black Canary who just happens to have the Canary Cry.
And I'm not even going to start on Felicity... to put it simple: she is just not a reliable team member, as this episode clearly shows. But hey, what does it matter, she threw a punch and by the end of the episode the team is OK despite the lies/manipulations, so all is well!
I hate to be a hater, I try to find the positive in everything when it comes to commenting/reviewing... I kinda like where the Diggle story is going, I love Curtis, Quentin, Thea... But that's pretty much it. The crossover Arrow episode was great... but as far as the rest of the season goes, it's just not compelling for me. It sucks to say this, but I tried :(
