Excellent exquisite depiction of stories and characters. The extreme attention to details are breathtaking. Tells a delicate teenage love story. The OST and songs are top-notch as well, thanks to Toyama Nao's performance. Recommend to anyone who can appreciate good story-telling and cheesyless romance.
Trivia: The title of the show is actually an abbreviated line from the ED, Tsuki Ga Kirei's translated lyrics, "As the moon we saw that day, it was so beautiful". The actual Japanese title, "Tsuki Ga Kirei", means literally, "The moon is beautiful". This is a reference to the famous Japanese novelist Natsume Soseki's anecdote of translating "I love you" from English to Japanese. He proposed that considering the reserved character of the Japanese, the Westerners' explicit way of expressing love is foreign. Saying that the moon is beautiful to someone, is effectively expressing one's deepest affections.
