Atlanta 2016

Great mix of funny and dark, serious moments. This has potential to be great.

Very promising ! Can't wait to see more, it's good to have Donald Glover back on screen.

Full of ups and downs but never boring, Atlanta was one of a kind

Truly the most unique thing to hit the small screen since Twin Peaks. Donald Glover created something so cinematic yet wildly hilarious that deserves to be spoken about as much as dramas of the last two decades. Atlanta might be the most pivotal piece of fiction to define America since the Trump era. It's insane to see how simple some episodes could be yet alluring us by how unconventional reality can be at times. Anyways, wild! A work of art!

Great character depth. Great show! Seriously on point!

Thank you, Atlanta. That was a hell of fun ride. Thanks for somehow keeping it real and weird at the same time. Bravo.

Very special show. If you want to understand modern African American culture this is where you need to be. High end TV

I think what makes this show so interesting and good is that if you are black in any level in American society you get it, because at one point in time you have been in a similar situation presented in one of the episodes. If you are not black you can still enjoy the show, because it lets you in from a perspective that otherwise you would not be in, or would be uncomfortable to be in.

Sold on the premiere. This show has so much potential.

This is a unique show in that it truly evolves along the way significantly from where it started in the first season and how it introduces completely new themes to episodes particularly in season 3 and 4. Some episodes even convince you that you have watched the wrong show. Overall it's a nice touch on how bizarre humanity is at times with some glimpses into the search for peace and happiness we all take on our individual journey, no matter how many people surround us or what environment we are in.

First season and the fourth were good. Second and third...meh with the third dreadful. Although Darius was great in every episode. Everyone should be as chill as him.

This is gonna be one that gets a lot of different reactions. It doesn't flow from one episode to the next in ways most shows do. There is often completed isolated side episodes that are not directly related to the central conflicts, but push forward the general narrative. The first two seasons, superb. After a lengthy gap, the third season returned and was easily the worst. Then the fourth came out quickly and is possibly the best. This is certainly a show that is worth at least checking out. There is a very high chance you love it, but also a moderate chance its format and premise do not work for you. I on the other hand believe this is yet another rock solid show for FX.

Average Season Review: 8.13/10

Recommendation: At Least Give it a Whirl (For FX Drama Fans)

a show with a truly unique tone. consistently succinct, with a lot of depth, but also lighthearted enough to be accessible. quality is never sacrificed, and throughout each season – in spite of the vast changes that occur – Atlanta always seemed to stay true to its roots. my favorite show!

Season 3 returned after a brief hiatus packing full heat, throwing full punches. This show is able to dramatize serious social issues with ingenuous storytelling that seems at times surrealist, random and disconnected... But manages to tie it all in eventually. It's also the subtle things - like how the show title is different each episode, craftily and artistically incorporated into the background of an early shot. Season 3 has Paper Boi finally achieving international stardom. Cousin Earn has evolved to the level of manager that's getting shows booked, money earned, and shit done. And Darius is just as free as he wanna be. Van is also free, but is she too free, maybe even lost?
Fucking brilliant show - thought provoking, hella smart, dark, comedic. Not for everyone, but one of my favorites.

Find the show more entertaining when Earn isn't in the scene. Earn is just a terrible character, he's sad. Paperboy scenes are hilarious

gonna miss darius. dude deserves an own show

Funny, weird and surreal which won't be for everybody but I enjoyed it a lot.

love this show, I know it ended based on many things but, I hope they rethink the decision.

I really enjoyed the first two seasons, those had some amazing episodes. After that, it went downhill. This show was so far up his own pretentious ass at some point, that it almost became unwatchable for me. Season 3 is worse than season 4 in that matter, but season 4 has some episodes that have the same issue as most of Season 3.

I get why people like it, but it just wasn't for me anymore. As a Dutchman, the absolute downpoint for me was the Sinterklaas-episode. I have never seen something so bizarre and extremely exaggerated in my life. I know, I know... TV is not real life, but it rubbed me the wrong way. Completely.

The way it tells stories. It feels like a weird cousin of Barry.

I watched this via Foxtel

it looks authentic and real -- like The Wire.

Fun show but Earn is the worst character out of the bunch by far, would’ve preferred if it was only Paperboy and Darius.
