Were Armin and Mikasa really in any danger of getting caught in the explosion? When Connie asks Mikasa whose side are you on, she says "Armin and I almost got caught in the explosion. You have to ask”. Eren wouldn’t have risked the lives of these two, however, if Armin hadn’t stopped Mikasa from returning to Zachary's office, would she have died in the explosion? Or whoever detonated the bomb would have waited until she was in the clear to do so? Did Armin suspect anything about the chair?
How did the warriors infiltrate Paradis? Could they have snuck aboard the Azumabito’s ship? There is no other way to get to the island, right?
Speaking of the Azumabito family, did the military and scouts have to fight in front of them? It was weird specially with the scene panning to them every now and then
When asked about Eren, Yelena said something along the lines of "I wanted him to know who I am”. Is there any significance to this?
The plot gets more and more tense and Mikasa uff...
That final frame though! We got a real trojan horse situation about to explode!
The military is splintered too. And considering the episode started with Annie, I wonder if she'll be waking up when her comrades come knocking.
Crazy theory under the tag:
Makes you wonder if this was Zeke's plan all along?
Well, if last episode was for sure improved by change of events order this one almost felt rushed even through nothing important if I remember correct was cut because of it.
On one hand that would probably make next episode more impactful with two powerful storylines happening simultaneously. On the other hand it would perhaps feel cramped or could turn into info dump in the first half. So idk... not a fan of the changes this particular episode. Perhaps I being spoiled by previous improvements on anime side of things.
Still a solid episode mostly thanks to the familiar plot that wasn't worsen, but wasn't elevated either.
Judging by wild fandom theories around those chapters, if manga back than didn't had the panel showing aftermath of Eren's new power, people would have continue to argue that he simply didn't have Warhammer power and lied about it to Hanji or at least assumed wrong. For some reason it looked like a possible twist at the time. So I'm dissapointed that Mappa cut Eren's escape scene. It was such an important panel..

Nah, it wasn't I'm kidding I just salty cause I was looking forward to the scene. Kinda hoping to see more than aftermath of it to be honest. Oh well, damn you tight schedule!
p.s. Mappa shouldn't have name dropped Sasha in previous episode and kept the vague"sister". It would make the kids look so dumb next episode...

This episode went by so fast
RIP Zachary
The iconic scene of Eren putting on his jacket is here! Eren and the Jaegerists seem to really be getting out of control now. I can’t believe Eren would put Armin and Mikasa at risk.
Pieck is also here in disguise - Marley’s surprise attack is starting at this time as well!
Can’t wait to see the events that follow
(I’ve also heard that the Eren who met up with Yelena wasn’t supposed to be manbun Eren, so it happened before)
