During the early ’90s, Widespread Panic emerged among successors to the Grateful Dead dynasty. Since then, the Athens-based collective has established an impressive reputation of constant touring, luminous improvisation, and state-of-the-art rock ‘n’ roll.

American singer-songwriter Gillian Welch has allured audiences with her deep country lyrics and Americana sound for decades. Tonight she makes her third appearance on Austin City Limits and is joined by David Rawlings.

ACL presents great American music with the Steve Miller Band and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Miller takes a tour through his catalog of classic rock hits. The PHJB presents classic New Orleans jazz with special guests the Del McCoury Band and Jim James of My Morning Jacket
