While Larry Colter distracts Hillary, the maid of the Tatums, Adam Montgomery photographs secret memos that will expose Tatum's boss J.E. Brock. When Tatum surprises him, they kill him arranging a suicide. Barnaby is hired by the widow and Hillary is imperiled.
