Baskets 2016

This is a weird show, I mean REALLY weird, but -I think- in a good way. It's more drama than comedy, at least the first episode is and it looks like it will stay that way. There are funny moments and moments that are so tragic they end up being funny, but the show focuses more on the tragic part the way I see it The acting is really good though, and I believe people will like the show even if it isn't what they expected.

Louie Anderson as Mrs. Baskets is pure genius.

A good combination of comedy and drama. Zach Galifianakis is outstandingly amazing performing two completely different characters. Although episodes are very slow, but they managed to make them watchable. Waiting for the second season, especially after the last since in the finale.

I scored all the separate seasons with a 7/10. But strangely enough, I knew deep down that I'd rate it higher in its entirety. It's one of those series that starts with promise but doesn't get greedy enough to be sparkly or eye catching. What it does show off are some brilliant character dynamics showcased through a splendid cast and whenever I felt a little down or simply bored, Baskets was what I wanted to watch. It's one of those shows you feel like you could watch forever and ever like eating cereal or potatoes (whatever your staple is). It's also one of those rare shows where it leaves a little empty spot in the heart that I'm sure I won't be able to fill anytime soon.

I started watching this show with no/low expectations, but I completed the entire first season and it is probably the best show on television right now! especially, the performance by Louie Anderson, as Christine, it could have been a horrible casting call, but he is spot on as Chip's mother...I laughed, I cried, i'm hooked!!!

Too excruciatingly awkward and depressing for my taste.

What a quirky and odd little show. It truly hinges between brilliant and extremely flaky. If you are fan of the show Wilfred it is a really similar vibe to that. It is definitely not going to be a show for everyone, but that people that like it, might love it. Thankfully it is rather short, so the incredibly dry and backhanded humor didn't overstay it's welcome. Definitely give it a try if you are looking for a new show, just don't be surprised if you don't understand why you keep watching the next episode.

Average Season Review: 7.38/10

Recommendation: Watch if You Need Content (For Quirky, Dry Humor Fans)
