Can a relationship founded on mutual need survive? Hua Mei Li (Song Dan Dan) is a migrant business owner of a hot-pot restaurant in Beijing. She needs to establish local residency in order to send her son to the Beijing schools. When she meets Liu De Yi (Fan Ming), a single man who needs money to restart his business, they enter into a contract marriage so they can each get what they need.
