[HBO Max] A sci-fi time travel attempt that introduces ancient Viking traditions, but that remains in an unbalanced show, between goofy humor and a buddy movie with elements of fantasy. It wants to cover so much that It can't go deep into anything, and it becomes almost as silly as "Les Visiteurs" (1993), but at least that one had funny moments.
I really that hope this gets second season.
I think this one is worth bothering reading subtitles. Me laik.
Enjoyed this series. Really interesting premise and itd slightly lighter going than a lighter than the other nordic noir I’ve watched to date.
s1 starts interesting. I lost interest in some scenes.
didn't wanna watch s2. since there was nothing to watch on tv, i watched it.

we see naked man dick , murdered body .
comes up around ep2 jacktheripper .
(around there i hesitates to continue. cuz i don't wanna watch serial killer focused show.)
we see alfhildr kiss sorcerer woman. or to see her past.
we learn that she came from future to back at age of 6,7 , stayed there until shes 35(whatever her current age is now)
then at s1ep1 we see people are sent into 2020. from vikingAge , 1900 (cop Lars ExWife' Husband , pipoGuy )
at the end ep6 we learn that alfhildr mom and granddad.
his mom and graddad alive.
but season ends !!, why didnt they make a scene that alfhildr family reunion, talk, !!
just for family talk i don't wanna watch whole s3 which might never be produced.
so fast . s2 is coming . yayy.

HBO just doesn't miss. This show was awesome with a fantastic cliffhanger ending that will keep you guessing and wanting more.

I'm not a fan of CSI-ish tv series but this one was relatively good and different. As a sci-fi fan, I like that time-travel background and as a former protagonist of medieval reenactment, I liked this part too (and I don't like fantasy - GOT, etc). I have some remarks to Christianized Scandinavian people and warriors especially those presented in flashbacks, for example in the type of shields, but whatever. A couple of lame moments from the modern age, also whatever. The show was quite funny, Alfhildr was hilarious. I hope that the second season closed the story because at times it seemed that the screenwriters wanted to stretch things on multiple episodes, in my opinion, the whole story could be told in one mini-series. In that case, I should be enjoying the neighborhood full of Vikings much more, here it was really repetitive and it seemed low-budget.
