I have this stupid habit with Black Sails that I watch a few episodes over the course of several years, then binge-watch a whole season or so, go back to the first rhythm (apply months instead of years this time), again come back and then have no friggen idea what's going on anymore :joy:
Like who's this guy Ms Guthrie is so friendly with in the bed? He must be a main character but somehow I have NO idea who he is anymore lmao (or maybe it is because he usually wears wigs?) No idea what they're sailing for at the moment anyway, but the ONE thing I do still remember without needing a catch-up 'what happened so far', is that Vane is fucking awesome no matter how much they'll call him animal or murderer or whatnot. Biased much? No, not me, for sure.
Glad Hopper cleared some things up for me though.
I liked the discrepancy of the priest telling Vane it will be "loud", but the scene shot itself actually is in utter silence.

[Spoiler] Wow! I did not see that coming. Definitely not easy for the writers to kill off a charismatic character like Vane. He will be missed :( oh and FUCK YOU Eleanor.
Who the hell does this self-righteous bitch think she is?? Charles had more morality, bravery, loyalty and honour in his pinky finger than Eleanor ever did in her whole entire body, yet she somehow thinks she can judge him? Hell no.
All the characters have their flaws and dark sides, but at least every single one of the others still have redeeming qualities as well; Eleanor does not. She’s just purely selfish, manipulative, cruel and evil.
Let’s hope Vane’s sacrifice was not in vain and the rest of the people in Nassau will finally wake up and fight back against Eleanor the monstrous tirant.

I'm sorry for Vane, but I appreciate that there wasn't a last second save that usually occurs in these cases.
