OK - We persevered with this series for a few episodes, with the third I just have to give up! Heaving grown up in Bristol and recognising a lot of the locations, I so wanted it to be good but it's just awful from the completely unbelievable dialogue to Mangan's frankly awful performance it just doesn't do anything. The predication of the series is to make you feel sympathy for a guy with two wives. With good writing and performance this could have been achieved bit this does neither so you just really dislike him.
By episode three this isn't really funny at all, it's actually uncomfortably sick (and sick and comedy often work well I know - big League of Gentleman fan here amongst others). This DOESN'T work because it isn't funny. This just isn't funny it's just wrong headed in many many ways.
If you want decent sick comedy try League of Gentlemen, Psychoville or similar. If you want something more family friendly there's plenty of options out there. This show sits in a horrible uncanny valley where comedies should not go.
This show is an absolute stinker... completely uninteresting people that bore you to death before 10 minutes are up. It's the WORST of British comedy...bad writing, bad acting and bad filming too. -5/10
