[7.4/10] This was a fun one. The A-story about Tina believing she has a crystal that magically gives her what she needs to do a great presentation (a la Dumbo’s feather) has a good premise. There’s a lot of fun to be had with Tina feeling uber-confident despite her usual stage fright, other Wagstaffers trying to draft off the good vibes (the breakdancing kid was a hoot), and Louise trying to monetize the whole thing. Tammy continues to be the worst for stealing the crystal, but Mr. Frond’s reaction to its destruction, and obsession with his new woo woo girlfriend are very funny. And I like the resolution, with Tina leaning into her nerves and finding a way to win over the crowd that way, even if the presentation has some other hiccups.
The B-story, with Bob buying a bunch of irregular produce and he and Linda working overtime to find ways to foist it on their reluctant clientele, was pretty mild. There’s some solid laughs, mostly when it came time to pickle them, but the episode had trouble finding other layers to the gag beyond “people don’t like weird-looking fruit.”
Overall, still an entertaining episode with some good yuks.
