This episode had me covering my eyes and laughing. It’s an odd combination of simultaneous responses to the old swingers in the pool. I was relieved Bob’s stepdad’s kink was a nothing-burger.
I enjoyed the secondary storyline involving the kids and the crazy lady. Louise would do almost anything for $100. She’ll be running the restaurant when she’s old enough. That’s if the place survives long enough.

[6.8/10] What a weird freaking episode. Focusing your A-story on seniors swinging is....uh...a choice I suppose. The show at least dredges up some conflict from it, and not just in the expected “Kids are grossed out by parents’ kinks” type of way. Bob’s disdain for hanging with Linda’s parents is established. Linda’s mom being startled by loud noises is established. So when Linda’s parents are about to get kicked out of their retirement village for not swinging, Bob has the motivation to convince them to join in the festivities, and Linda’s dad has the motivation to have been hiding his balloon kink.
It’s a weird weird weird weird weird storyline, with a lot of pretty gross bits, but I suppose you have to give it credit for being well-built.
The B-story with the kids hunting down a snake on behalf of an old lady looking for her dog is perfectly fine. The best humor in the whole thing comes from Louise’s wheeling and dealing interactions with the old lady. But even there, there’s a throughline with Gene getting over his phobia of snakes in order to save his sisters. It’s also a kind of weird storyline (particularly the romance between the little dog and the python), but that’s apparently just par for the course for this episode.
Overall, this is not one of Bob’s Burgers’s finest hours, but it’s one of its weirder hours, which is worth something, I suppose.
