[7.0/10] Perfectly good, replacement-level Bob’s Burgers episode. The A-story was solid, though you could tell that the show was really straining to come up with a plausible reason why Bob would be stuck in a sporting goods store such that the only way to ask for help was to spelunk through the roof. (The Office pulled a similar stunt with Michael Scott’s last season to explain why no one would be able to find him.)
Still accepting the premise at face value, it was an amusing reversal that Bob wanted to do outdoorsy things despite realizing he’s not really up for them, and being forced to do them in the context of a big box store. I wasn’t bowled over by the (intentionally) annoying salesman guy they paired him up with for the story, but he served his purpose in letting Bob realize that even the guy who’s “all about” this equipment is a poseur.
The B-story about Gail’s one woman show had its laughs, mostly from the ridiculousness/cliche qualities of the “show” itself and the kids as a Greek chorus for it. The actual story part -- Linda and Gail arguing over whom Delta Burke gave the “double guns” “pew pew” hand signs is a nice small stakes Bob’s Burgers kind of thing, but felt a little tacked on to give the B-plot a spine. Still, the reveal that it was just some random lady, and that Linda essentially lets Gail have her moment is kind of sweet.
Overall, this one would be a little disappointing as a season finale, but the parade episode is much better on that front, and given the timing of its airing, this works nicely as a “bonus” episode for lack of a better term.

Two things I love about this episode: outdoor Bob (in his mind) and Louise instigating a sister fight heheh
