That phone conversation between Mr. Peanutbutter and Diane was as romantic and adorable as it was sad and disturbing. BoJack going for some uncharacteristically selflessness by asking Todd to go back home showed some unexpected character development that most certainly hit me on teh feels. The whole episode made me feel all warm and fuzzy towards the end. I like when this show gets bleaker (like in the previous episode), but I absolutely love when it gets hit with a shitload of sunshine. Even Princess Carolyn managed to find some warmth in the coldness of the dire situation she got herself into.
"It gets easier."
"Huh?"
"Every day, it gets a little easier."
"Yeah?"
"But you gotta do it every day. That's the hard part. But it does get easier."
"Okay."
An orphanage? Okay. "THE JERB KAZZAZ MEMORIAL ORPHANAGE"? Ha.
I'm glad Princess Carolyn finally decided to leave Rutabega. She's capable of running the company by herself! I didn't expect her to do so. And Todd finally figured out improv was a cult. Thank god BoJack was there to remind them of their friendship. It was sweet.
Seeing Mr Peanutbutter and Diane make up was adorable. I'm glad Diane's finally getting back with him. It's about time.
This episode was so beautifully upbeat. That final scene was inspiring.
TECHNICAL SCORE: 8/10
ENJOYMENT SCORE: 9/10
let's wait year for season 3
Now for the year wait :,,: assuming it'll get renewed.
Loved the very last scene. So wholesome.
theres no guarantee tho, that it'll get easier. still, hope on.
"A fraud, me ow ?" I see what you did there.
"If you die in improv, you die in real life" was a good one too.
I guess this wraps up every plot of the season, but it was pretty meh, and didn't feel like a finale. Eveything ends up in the "let's wrap everything in 20 minutes"tv style that Wanda was talking about.
Bojack: the movie is finished, but without him. So wrapped up, but nothing happened.
Nice touch for the movie being dedicated to Debra's old face.
Diane + Mr Peanutbutter: This is by far the smartest thing Mr Peanutbutter has ever done, and so, like the last time they saw each other, so out of character. And so it also wraps up with nothing happening.
Princess Carolyn: the Rutabaga arc has been going on for a while, and it felt like it was gonna be really bad for her, but she actually comes on top, nice for her. But again, something happening was kinda expected, a betrayal, a scam, something ? ANyway, maybe we'll see Vincent again ?
Todd: coming back to his starting point, but we never really see him leave, didn't see anything of these 2 months without Bojack.

A surprisingly upbeat finish after the darkness of the prior episode. I enjoyed Princess Carolyn coming to the realization that she was OK being alone, and casting her rabbit buddy aside. I appreciated BoJack and Todd's reconciliation, with BoJack telling Todd that letting him stay was the one good thing he ever did intentionally and that he's BoJack's best friend, and giving some foundation to their friendship, even if the setup was a little forced. And I loved the scene with Diane and and impossibly kind, loving, and understanding Mr. Peanutbutter coming back together.
I have to admit, I kind of hated Mr. Peanutbutter at first, and I saw his relationship with Diane as a pretty contrived love triangle with BoJack. But I've come to get a really big kick out of his guileless and upbeat personality, and I actually really like him and Diane together. She grounds him, and he lifts her up. It's actually a really nice dynamic.
Otherwise, the whole Improv/Scientology cruise ship deal didn't totally click for me. I get the joke, but the humor was a bit too corny for my tastes, and it detracted from Todd's reconciliation with BoJack since it didn't present much of something that even a relative simpleton like Todd would love. I did get a kick out of BoJack's beleaguered and inappropriate speeches at the ophanage, and turning around and naming it after Herb (sorry, Jerb), was a nice touch. The "It gets easier, but you have to do it every day" was a little too "Hooray for Metahpors!" for me, but all-in-all I still liked this one as a hopeful note to end the season on.
