Very generic. The Bojack/Hollyhock relationship is going exactly as expected. And the looking for a mother part is not very original. The campaign and the fighting that ensues between Diane and Mr Peanutbutter is going exactly as expected. Even Princess Carolyn's side story is very predictable.
All this stories could have been (and well, have been) told in other movies or show and it would not make a single difference.
The 99 sequence even got cut :(
Not gonna lie; that final scene weirded me out and made me suuuper uncomfortable.
It isn't a particularly demanding episode but still compelling all the same. BoJack's adventure with Hollyhock is definitely the most interesting, while PC's was pretty funny. But Diane and Mr. Peanutbutter's segments really didn't cut it for me. I don't know. I'm mixed on this whole fracking thing, and as I said, the ending really weirded me out. On the one hand, I like what they're doing here, but when Diane explains why she thinks Mr. Peanutbutter should drop out of the race, I was intrigued at first but moved on from it pretty quickly.
It's pretty standard, with a few interesting ideas, but no enough to make me feel or thunk.
TECHNICAL & ENJOYMENT SCORE: 6/10

[7.4/10] A funny episode, and probably the most standard the show’s been in terms of its usual formula. The A-story with BoJack helping his daughter Holly Hock find her mother is an amusing adventure, replete with stalkers, embarrassment, and the usual amount of BoJack being terrible. But I like the idea that BoJack is lonely and want to keep Holly in his life, even if, in typical BoJack fashion, he has to lie and be terrible to make that happen.
The B-story about Mr. PB and Diane was kind of amusing, but also kind of weird. I know I should just accept the universe of the show, but there’s still something about a human having sex with an anthropomorphic dog that just kind of weirds me out. Still, apart from any ickiness, this show can be hit or miss with the relationship drama between Diane and Mr. PB, and I don’t know how I feel about fracking being a wedge issue for their romantic lives not just their political disagreements. Again, the show has been pretty heavy-handed about Diane trying to be supportive but not actually having any faith in her husband, and something about it just doesn’t work for me.
The C-story, with Princess Carolyn and her boyfriend, was much more enjoyable. It’s a hoary but effective comic premise of the parents-to-be racing against the clock to conceive, and the addition of a smartwatch with the voice of Harvey Fierstein talking about ovulation and an appearance of Officer Meow Meow Fuzzy Face only adds to the madcap fun.
Overall, a nicely done episode which feels like the show playing its usual notes but playing them well.
