I'm seeing a lot of hate towards Skyler here and I just want to know: what exactly would you have done differently in her situation?
If the IRS begins a serious investigation about Ted, it wouldn't take them long to find out that the woman who cooked his books is now running a business that she bought with undeclared money. If Ted goes down, everybody else goes down with him. Skyler didn't ask to be in the situation she's in, and yet, she's the only person that is actually thinking about the consequences of Ted and Walt's actions in the long term and trying to save both their asses in the process.
This season was already interesting all over but this episode!!! takes it to whole new level. Can't wait to watch the next episode, I hope they deliver far beyond my expectations.
The cinematography on this one is beyond outstanding. The shadows in the desert scene, the shaky ending, phenomenal.
The hate against Skyler is how I feel about Walt. Nobody would be in this situation if wasn’t for his stupid ego and rashness. She’s the only one actually thinking straight on how not to get caught. Walt hasn’t, his own wife literally guessed he was a drug dealer. Also Ted...him not wanting to pay the IRS doesn’t even make sense.
Ted is the dumbest person in the show.What's wrong with him he can pay to Skyler but not IRS.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT, THIS EPISODE.
Skyler is so dumb. She went through such lengths just to get Ted to pay the IRS and in doing so, she basically fucked her entire family. Not to mention, because of her, she's the reason Walter goes completely insane, the reason Walter completely becomes Heisenberg. If it weren't for Skyler, Walter would've never started to laugh maniacally, which I think is him fully becoming Heisenberg.

After watching the entirety of this show I can confidently call this episode and specifically the last third of it, my favourite of the show.
85 | Wow. Speechless. Hopeless. Chaos. Walt losing it. He and Skyler couldn't work together because of a lack of communication which eventually would kill them all. That last scene is so desperate to watch. With all the slow burn at the middle of the episode, you wouldn't expect that last scene coming.

After IFT, it’s now time time for IGITT.
If you think about it it's Walt's actions that made Skyler do this. His pride never let himself be described to be in "danger," then he puffs himself up as this threat in "the guy who knocks" speech which ironically describes Jesse.
In reality all the people he killed, in a much less badass way, just put him and his family in more danger without ever telling her.
She took a long-term measure, but since Walt rushed everything it was bound to only work out in the short term.

I don‘t even like Skyler but this really was not her fault. If Walt had been honest with her about the danger they‘re in she wouldn’t have been this reckless with the money. From her perspective giving it to Ted was necessary to keep the IRS from investigating them. Yes, she should‘ve told Walter about it, but taking his previous reaction into regard – „I earn the money, you launder it“ – it makes sense why she did this on her own.

The Skyler hate is ridiculous, I didn't even know there were idiots out there that blamed her for everything going wrong. In this exact episode, Skyler literally explains to Ted why it's important that he pays the IRS. If he doesn't, Ted, Skylar, and Walt WILL go to jail. There's literally no reason for Ted not to want to pay them, he just suddenly gains stupid last minute "morals" while he acts like it isn't his bullshit that got them into that mess. But of course, it's easier to blame the woman that's tried her absolute best to keep these two dumbass criminals from being caught and imprisoned.
I really hate Skyler!!! She always mess things up.
