Part 1
I wasn't sure if I should only write one review for this season, or two. If you didn't know, this season basically aired as 2 seasons. Here is when we get into television stations' way to get more show than they have to deal with contract wise.
But yea, I love this first half of the finale season. Shocking, I know. One great part of the show at this point is that they don't have a crap load of episodes anymore, so the pacing gets really fast. While normally I'm just fine with taking some time, seeing the show plow through so much plot in such a short time is awesome. Each episode has like, 3 or 4 amazing twists.
Is this the greatest show of all time? You're goddamn right.
Part 2
This is the best television show ever made. I'm going to just pull the trigger on this, cause for a long time I wasn't sure what I'd put at the top. Going through the whole show continuously like this was just a lot of entertainment.
All of this season is super tense. There is not a single moment of down time, because shit has hit the fan for the entire cast. The one that stands out, to everyone I think, is Ozymandias. That is what I'd call the climax to the story, with the next two episodes being the epilogue. I love that you turn sides (or at least moral people do). Walter White has gone from a slanted protagonist to a villain, and we've seen every step in that direction for 5 seasons. What he gets is actually less than what he deserves.
You know, I've heard a lot of people nitpick the finale, but frankly I love it. I think I might have been thrown off a bit the first time watching, but going back to view it with a bit of foreknowledge helps. Suddenly you don't have your own idea of what should happen and get slightly bummed when they didn't take your advise during production. This is basically a curse every great show will have when they get to a pumped up end.
Finale message to all of you: if you've never seen Breaking Bad, your life is not complete.
Easily the best season of the entire show. I find it a little unfortunate that the best season is the fifth season and how people will have to watch many episodes until they reach this season, not that this is the only good season.
This is what the rest of the show is building up to: Walter as the true villain, his nature laid so bare that even his defenders can’t deny it, and with a sharp eye on character drama and relationships, the crime machinations almost secondary.
What else is there to say, besides this being the best ending to any television, ever. The second half of the season is so full of just immensely satisfying resolutions, where choices made from the beginning are followed up with their rightful consequences, and one truth becomes startlingly clear: You'll always get caught.
Seeing the rise and the fall of an empire illustrated through this season is fucking incredible, and I love how overt it's storytelling is. At every possible moment Vince Gilligan and the writers not only go out of their way to make sure you know, but the show itself makes sure you know that Walt is not a good guy. At every turn, and every choice, everyone but Walt says that he's a monster... until the end, that fucking awesome line.
"I did it for me. I liked it. I was good at it."
Walter White died the moment he killed Krazy-8 and Emilio in season one. Here, we just see Heisenberg finally catch up to him.
I cannot overstate how good everything is in this season. There's rarely a slow moment past episode 10, and by then every episode after is just one part of the ultimate finale for this show. So fucking good, so fucking perfect.

84 | And that's it the story of a chemistry teacher. Breaking Bad proves that it has one of the best characters development in the history of television or series. If we compare what happened in the first episode of the series and the last episode, the contrast is so high. It successfully told its story without rushing it and made that 5 seasons worth it to watch. It is hard to make a series this consistent, even though Breaking Bad has its weak season, but it did not fall that far in quality. Breaking Bad deserved its popularity and will be recommended by people from time to time. We only could wish that there will be any other show at least as Breaking Bad standard, we'll see.
