I thought the mix of comedy and social commentary worked better here than in the premiere.

Okay but in 6x05 it was revealed that Nine-Drink Amy speaks French and in this episode she apparently thinks she's a genius instead? Someone clearly wasn't paying attention to the Santiago Drunkenness Scale.

Also, the gag with O'Sullivan threatening to out Holt and Rosa only to be told that they're already out made me laugh so hard. For some reason that was the funniest joke ever.

You know a show is in its final season when it busts out its two signature hits (Melissa's concentrated dose of goofiness, especially when drunk; Rosa having to adopt another personality, especially the one that's cheerful) in the same scene. That drunk montage is a gift.

i will miss the way Andre Braugher deliver his lines :broken_heart:

"Please, I would never do something that childish, and you would know that if you weren't such a big stinky dumb-dumb who smelled like butts." This is modern poetry, huh? :joy_cat:

Also, this is the kind of blend the season premiere should have been able to achieve between addressing the zeitgeist of anti-police sentiment and hanging on to its comedic heart. I daresay they rushed production a bit, perhaps.

"Oh, come on! You can't blackmail anyone anymore."

They are at least managing to mix the commentary with comedy better than the first episode. Man, what a giant misstep that first episode was. I wonder how many people gave up there.

But still, it's a shadow of its former self. They probably should've canceled the show before this season.

I hate that this season is giving a platform to Trmp’s twin, obviously I assume it’s to debunk that ideology and explain in a basic way to every red hatter why they are wrong, but you are giving that hatred a space in your show.
However his master plan of getting rid of the snacks was genius comedy.

this episode feels like a callback to season one when Jake arrested the wrong guy and it was played off as a joke. It also felt a bit slapsticky
