Cardinal Burns is a new comedy sketch show written and performed by Seb Cardinal and Dustin Demri-Burns.
Sketches range from silly and cartoonish to smart, contemporary concepts, to character pieces and quick fire moments of madness, all filmed with an ambitiously filmic and rich frame of reference that make this series stand out from the crowd.
Running characters include Office Flirt and New Guy, a cartoonish sketch examining office etiquette; a behind the scenes look at street artist Banksy; and Young Dreams, a parody of The Hills featuring three young girls on a fashion internship.
In the first episode, Banksy is going through a failed attempt at a street picture. There's a shaggy dog story with Phil and Terry on a tour of Buckingham Palace with the Queen. And dramas unfold in the Young Dreams house as Rachel, Olivia and Yumi embark on their big city adventure in fashion.
In this episode, a class of nobodies learn how to be rock stars. Banksy accidentally gets his stepson arrested on a late-night stake out; and cockney cabbie and film extra Phil shares some juicy stories about Johnny Depp.
Settle in for a visit to Kookyville - a comic take on American indie films; Charlie and New Guy get flirty at the company board meeting; and witness 'The Burning Man' - the most terrifying magic stunt ever performed on a comedy sketch show.
In this edition, there's a massacre in a salsa class, we meet Target Blonde, the tallest rock band in the world, and join cockney cabbies Phil and Terry, who've had a fight with Richard Branson on a flight to the moon.
Camp paranormal investigators Phil and Jase get spooked at Goswell House. Dustin is humiliated at a TV ad casting, and tension rises when New Guy installs a hot tub at Office Flirt HQ.
In this final episode of Seb Cardinal and Dustin Demri-Burns' sketch show, a friendly squash match turns violent, Yumi, Rachel and Olivia celebrate the end of their internship in the dramatic season finale of Young Dreams, and Seb finds a businessman living in a tree in his back garden.
