I WAITED 788 DAYS TO BE IN THE MOOD FOR THIS AND THEN I WATCHED IT AND IT WAS PERFECT.
A slow burner romance with more focus on Hospice care and tissues
I love slow burners but they need to watched at the right timing to click . Chocolate has all the ingredients to be my favourite like Just Between Lover , A Piece of Your Mind , Marriage Contract and When Weather is fine but few irritating characters in the beginning and endless pain caused even before we enter hospice has caused me to drop the rating a little .
This is a definite watch for all slow-burn enthusiasts and I dunno why i put this in back-burner for so long ; after watching chocolate i feel the urge to re-watch the above mentioned shows
Ha Ji-won as usual an excellent portrayal of another role ; her emotions were vivid and at the same time succulent . This was first time seing Yoon Kye-Sang but he was a very cast for this character ; cold yet caring boy who is forces on a painful path by adults.

I felt anger every time i saw Lee Joon but he was a pitiful child who finally rebells on his idiotic parent(s) who cheat.
I am still very angry with the Grandma and Chae-Yong's mom ; these kind of people ruin the children's life.
There is food and there are tears, there is more food and there are losts, there is even more and more food and there is also grief, also there are chocolate and also there is love.
Writer Lee Kyoung Hee made us cry like no one can do, again! One of the most personal screenplays I've ever see, the cast was so good.
You will cry and you will cry a lot!

Definitely has all the makings of a Korean drama. It is a good one, though, not as cheesy and typical. Hits some really difficult topics surrounding hospice care. I think I cried almost every single episode—many of the episodes, several times. And I don’t mean the cute crying. I was bawling.
I recommend it. It definitely has some “yeah, right. That would happen” kind of moments, but what korean drama doesn’t?
It’s packed with all kinds of emotions—from happiness to sadness and everything in-between. Give it a go. Have a tissue box on stand-by.
