There's really a lot going on in terms of characters, their interactions, and their development. There are just so many and vastly different types of characters :)
Johnny and Miguel can both learn from each other. They could become a great team if Johnny becomes less of a bully and regains confidence in his ability to teach karate and if Miguel can get good enough at karate to stand up to his bullies. And if he manages that he could also help Demetri and Eli (the "nerds").
Sam is such a nice person but hanging out with bad friends which also leads to destroying her old friendship with Aisha. Plus she isn't aware that Kyler's a bad guy and a bully. Her father tries to look out for her but has bad luck and does so at the cost of his good connection to her.
Johnny and Daniel could get along but their both to stubborn to start over. Instead, they're stuck in their memories and assume that history will repeat itself.
The relationship between Daniel and Amanda is lovely btw <3
