This show needs to get interesting.......fast.

Everything is not as it seems.
A reaction time of 98 seconds was measured here, but I suspect it will cause tragedy in the future. That's because it could be a different reaction time next time, if the situation is even slightly different. Tragedy may be the plan.
The teacher and Bram (Katie's son) discuss the launch the other night, and Bram observes that one aspect of it was different. Well, I had also noticed in the first episode that something was off about the sound of the launch. (Think: lightning, thunder, and what the seconds between tell you about distance.) However, the teacher tries to discourage Bram from questioning that, saying it's just way beyond their level of understanding. Then, he redirects Bram's attention with an account of what he saw with his telescope. His story does not make sense, for multiple reasons that I'll let you figure out. I think all he saw was a cloud obscuring the light of a star.
Many of the characters seem to be playing mind games on the others. Some characters who say they are on one side are probably actually on the other. I'm intrigued.
