Was interesting to see how things got started and explains some loose ends from season 1. However, it left much to be desired and was a slow start to the new season. Hopefully things will pick up.
I would have probably enjoyed the episode a lot more if it hadn't been 10 months since the season 1 finale. I'd forgotten most of season 1 so it wasn't until the wall came down that I realized the whole episode was a flash back.
Slow paced, but much needed backstory on the occupation. It bothered me through a good bit of season 1 that we knew so little about how it all started, and this was a great step toward explaining it.
I can only assume the episode title is a quiet reference to what time the EMP went off and the occupation officially began, but if that was directly addressed on screen I completely missed it. Alternatively it might refer to November 13th, as 9/11 refers to September 11th, but who knows what time of year it's meant to be—with a show set in SoCal, it could be any time of year and still look like July!
Strong first episode. I loved the flashbacks, although they confused me at first. It took me a long time to actually realize they were flashbacks, it's been too long since season one.
Really enjoyed this episode. I think it may have been better than any episode in Season 1, and I liked Season 1.
Why didn't this episode have a recap of what happened last season?? It's been too long and I don't remember much.
Is Bran supposed to be in some kind of prison? Why? What did he do?
Also, am I supposed to know who Solomon is?
I do appreciate the flashback of how it all started. In the end, the episode left the viewer with too much wanting for more. Further, I really hope that this isn't a reboot of the show to where this season follows from this point on rather than picking up where season 1 left off.

Interesting background on how the occupation started, and those giant bricks falling from the sky to make the alien walls was just freaky. Will obviously smuggled himself successfully beyond the wall, so will there be more flashbacks or will S02E02 and beyond be all present day? I'm looking forward to what is coming.
