carl sagan's cosmos is a great series that is unfortunately going to be revived by seth mcfarlende and neil degrass tyson, which will no doubt involve a fascistic role of science as the single method of discerning truth. bitter predictions aside, most of 'these' episodes however are incredibly open ended and only serve to wet the viewers' feet in bigger questions of the universe. in that regard the show is excellent, and sagan's tendency to explain difficult concepts in poetic language demonstrate why he was such a major and positive figure in the layman's world of science during his tenure
