This season provides enough entertainment to get through and has a few great songs, but it doesn't compare to the preceding seasons. If you're invested in the characters, it serves up a good ending that you'll be satisfied with. But most of it is filler.
But "I'm Almost Over You" is one of the best episodes in the entire series!!
What an incredible way to manage something that has an only possible ending, which makes it predictable, by still make it amazingly perfect. Pluys, it's 5 more episodes than season 3 and it still didn't feel too long.
It's the rare show that is at its most compelling when its protagonist is finally getting her act together, but that's the case for Crazy Ex Girlfriend. The jokes are finer tuned, each character is treated with an affectionate hand, and Rebecca's growth is well earned. The chemistry between her and her love interests is at its best, each seeming like a real, viable option. You'll be rooting for one one moment, and another the next. But you'll always be rooting for Rebecca. There's still the occasional 'white woke woman' comedy, but it's thankfully dialed back. This is the climax the show deserves.

While every season of this show has been amazing, this season has been my favorite. They're really winding things down perfectly, I love that they're bringing back some old songs with new takes on them.
