I admit, I did not remember how much the first episode of Criminal Minds focused on Gideon and his trauma. I guess this definitely paid off at the end, all things considered.

This was a good one cant lie but the unsub was a fucking pussy like he literally died for nothing dumbo. But yeah it was cool the bombs like how if you tilt it, it would blow like what the fuck how did someone think of that. That little girl tho she was shaking that whole box I was not surprised cause I knew they wouldn’t kill a little girl but it should of blew cant lie. Gideon was so smart at the end not to trust bale the rat.

It was so strange that that Bale (?) guy thought making Gideon say those things would be somehow humiliating or make him look weak - quite the contrary, I feel like it made him look strong, sincere, and able to own up to his mistakes.

This episode seems to be based off of a true story in 1985. There is an episode of "Forensic Files" S02E11 titled "Postal Mortem" which entails most of the same information. But WARNING, that episode does show the deceased without blurring.
