Dark: Season 2

2x06 An Endless Cycle

That episode was the most emotional one of the show i guess, Jonas & Martha on the shore, Jonas reunion with his dad, those scenes really got to me.

The smartest thing about this episode was that it happened in just one day, a day before all that happened, so i am watching with knowing all of their past & secrets, which makes u think from a philosophical perspective about the human nature.

And the ending scene! WOW, another lovely twist! how Magnus will be involved in all of this? good ending.

Magnus, what? Everybody’s travelling everywhere, what is happening. Mikkel’s storyline is now explained and closed and it breaks my heart.

this episode was so heavy on my soul. wow. broke my heart and all. amazing. it also concludes mikkel's story and i'm so angry and upset and sad that he couldn't be saved :(

Dark is consistently one of the most compelling and mind-melting dramas and it features the best that a science-fiction story can offer: moral grays and ambiguity.

Cyclical isn't just a stylistic ploy here, it's the very DNA.

An absolute mindblowing episode. The story is so intertwined and complex that it‘s just breathtaking. The writing is amazing in this show.

I couldn't feel worse for poor Jonas and Mikkel.

Officially, this is mind fuck now! It is a mess, but I like it. Time for some grand theories :joy:

And like the last one, it was so emotional... Even more.

'An Endless Cycle' – I think the title says it all. What an episode! At this point, I have no idea whose side should I be on, Claudia, Adam or Noah perhaps. Also, if you haven't noticed already, the casting for this show is so damn good. The old Magnus is perfect!

Poor Mikkel and poor Jonas. So damn heartbreaking.

Also, it was so cool how the teens from 2019 looked the same as they did in season 1. Were Jonas and Magnus wearing wigs? It was weird cause Jonas' face looked rounder and younger. However they did it, bravo. That was impressive.

But, how on Earth did Martha not realise how different Jonas looked? No one can grow an inch of hair in the span of a few seconds! Even papa Mikkel noticed. Step up your game, girl!

I'm not sure I yet understand why old Mikkel had to commit suicide. What's the correlation between him dying and his younger self being taken to the past? I don't get it. It's not like jis dad being alive would prevent Jonas from time traveling, right?

Might be my favorite episode so far !

If I time traveled to the past to prevent my father to commit suicide I simply wouldn't have given him a detailed description of how he was going to do it. RIP to Jonas but I'm different.

Brilliant!!!!
I just kept internally screaming at Jonas not to do any of it, not to kiss Martha, especially not to try to stop his father, because in doing so he ensures the inevitable and then Claudia came through the door with the realness - BOOM, ultimate causal loop, bootstrap slingshot Batman! LOL and hard face-palm.

It's incredibly sad though, Jonas/Adam made himself into the Minotaur stuck in the maze, whilst simultaneously becoming the potential saviour Theseus. It's quite the conundrum.

Now to reveal who Charlotte's Mum is, who Alexander really is, who Investigator Clausen is, who Wöhler is and what happened to his eye... who are Noah and Agnes' parents... who is Tronté's father... whether Agnes and Doris get their happily ever after... SO many questions left to answer... most of all, how will this endless cycle ever end?

I know it's an old show and it has long ended, but like the plot, film does not abide by the laws of time, so it will forever be a new and delightful roller coaster ride.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeee!

this episode is a fucking masterpiece

This show is so good, the way we've had these events teased since the very beginning and we're finally getting to see them play out. Great emotional pay off (even if I thought Michael very quickly agreeing to kill himself for the "bigger picture" was a little rushed and could have done with a longer, dramatic scene to really push home). This is such a special show, and as much as I want to binge it and find out how it all ends there's a part of me that never wants to finish it so it can live in my head forever.

This episode has more smiles than the combined rest of the show. But also the usual misery and heartbreak.
