"Mr Stark, I dont feel so good..."
A perfect ending to a perfectly scripted and perfectly planned show.
ENDING IMO I think , once they prevent the deaths and time-travel from being invented, Jonas'(Split Reality 1) and Martha's(Split Reality 2) universes(realities) are annihilated, the Scientist's "Original reality" splits/branches again, to form another "3rd" Split Reality which is the one shown in the end.Since "Endings are beginnings and beginnings are endings or everything is predetermined and past/future can't be changed", this would make the most sense without breaking the show's rule because if the Scientist didn't try to invent time Travel, there wouldn't be 2 split realities and with that no Jonas or Martha coming to change the past, and if they didn't come, he would invent time Travel, a Paradox. So the original reality still exists alongside the new 3rd reality. However Jonas and Martha are erased from existence since their universes no longer exist.Hannah deciding to name the unborn child 'Jonas' was also a nice way to spare us a completely sad ending. But hey who knows! The series is open for multiple interpretations.
Reminded me a lot of "The Leftovers" Finale. Both complex shows with a lot of things happening (and a lot of stuff you don't understand immedialty), but at the end, you know what was always the most important aspect. Dark is a Masterpiece and the best Netflix best show.
This was such a beautiful end to a beautiful series. This show really set the bar high and will definitely go as one of, if not the greatest.
I have no words to describe this season finale. It was just amazing.
Masterpiece. Simple as that.
Writing. Directing. Cinematography. Casting. Acting. Soundtrack. Everything is perfect.
I'm going to miss the beautiful music montages at the end.
i always thought jonas was a good name, goodbye one of the best shows
I half expected Jonas and Martha materialising in the road to actually cause the car to crash, in turn causing the clock maker to build his machine and create the knot, causing the cycle to start again.
Nice ending to a great show all the same. However, I think I would definitely benefit from watching all three seasons back to back at some point. I'm sure there are pieces that I missed, due to the complexity of the story.
It was a Love story.
The series finale. It was a Love story....
One particular song is going to be listened to a lot over the next few days... :)
I take back everything I said before.
Yeah, things were mega-ultra-frustratingly-complicated, but this finale makes up for it all. It cleans up the mess with a clear-cut answer: these two worlds of wild connections and repeats were the product of one genius simply wanting his family back. And — ultimately — he succeeded! With a little help from our cast of characters, particularly Jonas, Martha, and Claudia (the kween who truly figured it all out).
This final episode was beautiful. I loved the lighting effects. I loved the final “dissolving” moments with all of our characters realizing the knot was untied. The moment with Jonas and Martha saving the family from the car wreck was incredibly heartwarming, as was the family’s reunion with Tannhaus. I loved how the colors were so much brighter in the origin world... the real world. It just all came together very well.
But who was that older man in the photo with Claudia and Regina? Egon? And what were they toasting Regina for? And what happened to Wöller last summer?!
It was also great to see everyone happy at the dinner table! And to see Peter living his best true life!! It dawned on me that the Nielsens never existed in the real world (good luck wrapping your brain around that if you haven’t yet). I’m sure that there’s so much more I didn’t pick up on! Perhaps this show was smarter than I ever gave it credit for.
The journey was confusing for sure, but when is time travel not? I’m officially giving ‘Dark’ all the praises. Kudos!
my mind is blown and my ears are ringing. damn that was so beautiful.
I've been thinking of a name for my cat which will arrive in a couple of weeks. Ending the show that way I've decided now. Jonas it is.
Am I the only one who is disappointed with the finale?
love the part when it kinda Interstellar and then kinda Infinity Wars
oh my god this was amazing. a perfect ending of this truly amazing show.
Reading the good reviews for the finale cemented the feeling that I'm actually in the mirror verse and have been watching a different show than everyone else. Unbelievably overrated. Glad this terrible mess is over.
So, Claudia wins Dark, not Adam, not Eve
So with sadness in my heartI feel the best thing I could doIs end it all and leave foreverWhat's done is done, it feels so badWhat once was happy now is sadI'll never love again, my world is ending...I wish, that I could turn back timeCos now the guilt is all mineCan't live without the trust from those you loveI know, we can't forget the pastYou can't forget love and prideBecause of that it's killing me insideIt all returns to nothing, it all comesTumbling downTumbling downTumbling down...
After two seasons in which a singular and original universe has been built, a kind of vital labyrinth, the third season had the difficult mission of bringing all these plots together and solving the questions that had been asked.
In the first episodes, the introduction of new temporal paths seemed to further complicate the story, and this new contribution was certainly not strictly necessary. But step by step the writers have been developing a common thread that has led us to a beautiful and spectacular finale, although they have taken the easier path for it.
"Dark" is undoubtedly one of the best European series created in recent years, which has managed to stop at just the right time.
But I'm not really into happy ending and I was certain it wouldn't be one. I thought Jonas & Marta would the cause of Tannhaus' family's death.... I was really expecting this paradox but unfortunately, paradise is the true answer, I guess!
Anyway, what an amazing ride! The soundtrack was incredible as well!
Throughout this season I was getting a little tired of having to read Wikipedia after watching each episode because I couldn’t help feeling that I wasn’t fully understanding what was happening. Everything was abstract and confusing to me. Who is this man with the broken lip? What was the point of introducing Eve? What’s part of Jonas' world and what’s part of Martha's?Despite it all I’ve got to say this is one of the most perfect endings I’ve watched recently. The way everything made sense in the last two episodes was incredible! I’m really glad I didn’t give up on this show.
