In terms of dialogue and overall zaniness, the writers still haven't gotten back to that pre-break level. They're getting a little closer each week, but it's been a slog, and there's still a lot of distance between where things were and where they are. And I'm really starting to wonder if they're capable of a complete recovery. And in terms of actual plot development, that Neron twist at the end was good, but that was about it for this one.
I got bored, really. We need more magic and demons.
where are the superpowers, i know all these characters from comics, graphic novels...you people are screwing this show over, really need to dumb down the lovey dovey drama, going on.
i almost puked last episode
We all know that they took the "campy" level off the rails this week and this was a total trainwreck, so I'll let the other posts discuss that.
My gripe is what in the everloving crap did you do to Ray? I mean he had a rough intro on "The Arrow" as Palmer but at least seamed competent, smart, interesting, pioneering, but look at where he is now! For seasons now he's been written as the bumbling oaf that will fall over to avoid a punch more often than intentionally duck.
I mean c'mon, in reality this guy played Superman on the big screen in "Superman Returns", and The Atom is a serious character in the DC Universe who actually has something to contribute. This guy is the one everyone laughs at for his beyond ridiculous personality "quirks", and always tell the truth personality that drives him to cause himself or others harm because of his characters incapability of seeing past his own nose, like his piece could have been written for any third party stand in.
Another poster (@mansemat) said this: When Nate said he's Mister Steel and Ray is The Atom my reaction was "OH! That's right!!"... And I have a pretty good memory.
I thought this pretty much summed up my own thoughts as well, do these guys do much besides freeload now days and maybe or maybe not do stuff while mick writes his book in the corner..... is this where we are now with the characters on this show?
Maybe I was the idiot for being really excited about this shows concept when I first heard about it, but this could have been something really cool, like a time travel version of "Sliders" with superheroes or some story arc with Mr. Mind with Flash's time travel and Crisis level stuff. Really sad to see this play this hard in to the campy style without balancing it at all with some direction, character growth and sense of striving for something and paying it off.
Ahh well, feels good to say it anyways
I didn't want to admit it, but it's true: this has gone off the rails :( Cheesy love stories /in the previous episode they made a joke about not passing the Bechdel test, and it was good, but now they are doing the opposite, and actually leaning into it, with no fun, jokes or fourth wall breaking/, much more less humor, no actual "Legends" stuff, just bureaucracy and a thin plot. I'm not giving up, but for season 5 I'd like to see them leave all the bureau behind, find Mona some place where she can be happy, and go back to crazy and absurd world saving through time with the rest of the team. (For the record, I find the first half of season 4 ok, not on the same level as season 2 and 3, but it was ok-ish, it had its moments, now, nothing. Nixon episode made me say "YES, THEY ARE BACK", but now it seems it was a one time only thing, and it's so far behind no one can see it.)

Well... We got Fakea relationship counselling purgatory, a love-snooper and a unicorn & dragon theme parc... When Nate said he's Mister Steel and Ray is The Atom my reaction was "OH! That's right!!"... And I have a pretty good memory.
So hey... showrunners. Can we put the Legendary back into Legends and tone the camp a wee bit back. Balance fellas, balance is everything. You have gone a bit off the rails.
