Never watched. Was just looking for something crime, comedy, mix. It was on Britbox recommended for the Christmas 2021 special. Laughed ant great twist. I'm guessing the whole show is like this so I've got 10 seasons to catch up on.

Almost done with season seven but think this is it for me. In this season (and maybe all of the previous ones but I really didn't notice?) every episode have followed the exact same format and it's getting boring.
A short sequence where someone is found dead, queue opening music, the main characters is doing something silly, they get noticed about the dead body, they follow leads that get them nowhere while the Commissioner and the two Officers has a separate "funny" byline, they round up all the suspects at a café and all of sudden reveals evidence and stuff in a timeline that you as a bystander has no way in figuring out.
So bye, bye.

A really enjoyable english-french lighthearted crime drama series by Robert Thorogood. What makes it enjoyable are the characters Ben Miller (Saxondale, Armstrong and Miller) playes a perfect english detective in Richard Poole, so far out of his depth, as well as his distaste for island life. Sara Martins (P.J, Insoupconnable) playing the DS Camille Bordey as well as Danny John Jules (Red Dwarf, MI High) as Officer Dwayne Myers as the most chilled / lazy police officer you will ever see. Great writing and as we've seen with other shows a new lead character in this case Kris Marshall as D.I. Humphrey Goodman in Season 3 doesn't ruin the formula. Can't wait for Season 5 (2016). But, a funny, well acted, well produced crime drama to get your detective hats on for. Highly rated and I recommend reading the DI Richard Poole novels by Robert Thorogood as well.
