I liked it enough to see another one, to see how it goes
Decent start, but I can already see some of the little things that ultimately made it be cancelled.
CASTLE with a magician instead of an author, and a hint of PSYCH for good measure. Still, some fun moments and some potential, but some over-the-top eye-rolling moments, too. (Airport acoustics? Really?) And overkill. For example, why did they need anything at the end beyond Cameron swapping out the bad guy's real gun for the fake one? At that point, just stop the SUV and let the feds swarm the thing. But the biggest challenge for me will be to get past a huge problem with the entire premise: did Johnny just live in a cave, or something? 30 years and never out in public? No social media presence? No one ever saw him in one city while Cameron was known to be in another? It's possible, sure, but it would require such an isolated life that one wonders why Johnny would ever agree to such a seemingly inhumane setup in the first place.
Good show but I don't think I like this female FBI agent who happens to play one of the main roles, her acting is kind of articifial.
Good thing the real Domenic looked exactly like the magician guy in fake nose and beard.
Also, this show needs more people of color. Just saying.
