watching this gave me actual nightmares.
S02 Review
Powerful, Compelling yet Diluted
Delhi Crime S02 is still a convincing and powerful sequel season for the 2019 show. With the similar theme of intense police procedural, S2's principal components at play here are pretty much the same as before, Delhi Crime Season 2, a five-part crime drama that never loosens its grip on the audience, is decidedly different in textual essence, if not in tone and texture, from its International Emmy award-winning predecessor. Screenplay is riveting but less gripping as the intensity dilutes due to its commercial tropes of adding the accused and antagonist side story which we didn't see in S1.
Shefali Shah is back again and with a bang. Its like she was born to play Vartika Chaturvedi onscreen. She is stunning throughout. Rajesh Tailang, Anurag Arora and Siddharth Bhardwaj equally brilliant as the supporting cast and elevate the quality of the show. Rasika Dugal back as a vulnerable yet focused . She does a great job in handling the drama involving her role. Tilottama is a proven performer and is pretty amazing.
Overall, the essence of S1 was missing as it was more of a face off between the cops and criminals rather than a detailed investigative thriller like its predecessor most likely due to a new Director and his vision. However, the show is still brilliant in terms of production, writing and performances.

Compelling, Infuriating, Gripping
Delhi Crime S1 is a riveting, yet gruesome show which is brilliant in all aspects, difficult but tremendously rewarding. With one of the finest performances by Shefali Shah and an exceptional ensemble cast, Delhi Crime steers by virtue of a tightly written material, engaging screenplay and proper amalgamation of drama and investigation.
The earnest and grounded representation of Delhi Police is beautifully showcased throughout the seven episodes.
Shefali Shah literally shoulders the entire show on her shoulders. One of the finest investigated cop thrillers I have witnessed. Kudos to the entire cast and the inventive use of humour and dynamics of everyone's personal lives as police officers. Commendable writing. Both Rajesh Tailang and Anurag Arora were amazing throughout. Rasika Dugal and Adil Hussain brilliant in their limited appearances
Overall, Delhi Crime S1 is one compelling season which rises beyond its cliches because of its honestly written screenplay and monumental performances. Taking such a sensitive topic which gripped the nation and making it a sparkling investigation drama is not a mere fluke but a praiseworthy effort.

Very compelling series. The story is very tough to watch because of mature themes, but from a cinematic perspective, it is very much worth the watch. Great acting and directing across the board.
