Great animation, but full of cliche, with hollow predictable plot.

Edit after finishing 1st season:
Half way through it became more interesting, I'm glad I didn't drop it after first 3 boring episodes.

This show is absolutely fucking amazing. Holy shit UFOTABLE are absolute gods.

I am not much into Shounen cliche but this one was really interesting. The first few episode were a bit boring as the plot was going way to fast and most of the stuff was predictable from other Shounen anime(s) but after that It became something that you'll definitely wanna continue for a longer period of time.
Best part of the anime was Nezuko, I am glad she became a Demon. Her expressions were adorable.
I am hoping for more Seasons of this anime, more honestly, an entire anime adaptation of the manga.

Boring af stopped around 8-10 eps

Demon slayer has not disappointed me yet. The only form of disappointment I get is having to wait until next week to see the next episode! I really enjoy how this show is popping off, to me its on the same level as M.H.A and Shield Hero which are very hard shows to compete with hoping to see more greatness.

First off, I will say tis show was truly a pleasure to watch. ufotable has a remarkably good track record for really outstanding animation. However, I have one question for you:

If Wisteria wards off demons and can kill them, and this is known by literally every demon slayer (as it is a part of their initiation ritual), then why doesn't literally everyone keep some on their person?

So my point is, yes it's good to watch and I'd recommend it highly, but don't think too carefully about everything as you'll find inconsistencies and unexplained details. That said, I'm looking forward to seeing more of Nezuko in action with Season 2!

While a lot of people will hate me for this opinion, I personally believe that the reason this show is so good is mainly for its animation. The plot of the story is quite basic, to be honest, but the animation and action are so amazing that I can understand why people love it.

we need a 2nd season beside the movie

UFOTABLE nailed it. Its totally epic anime and story.

remove that dunce Zenitsu from the show, and then it becomes an OK anime

This anime series is over please update the page.

I love this show too much like it's probably stupid how much I loved the whole thing from beginning to end, I am completely biased towards this show. It was so pure and wholesome while also being completely badass. I cannot wait for the Movie and it better release in the UK.

the first season was fairly good, some of the episodes felt like fillers or just didn't really have a whole lot going on, but overall really good, and holds a good introduction to the characters which I often look for in shows.

The Mugen train arc was pretty good, it provided a lot of context and gave a really good story for the flame hashira, it was really cool to actually start learning about the dynamics of both hashira and upper level demons, I also think it is the perfect length for the content of the arc, if it had been any longer it would have dragged on, but this was really good.

the entertainment district arc has definitely been my favourite by far, none of the episodes really feel like they're fillers and the animation is really good, I think the scenes are definitely much more interesting than those in the first season. this arc also allows you to find out more about the demon slayer corps, the sound hashira and you finally start to see more of the main antagonist of the series.

It's a fun show with fucking great animation.
Nothing in particular.
Watching it weekly was enjoyable.
Apart from that it's just a weak show. no plot, no interesting characters, totally predictable.
if you need something to amuse you, it'll be a good pick.

Beautiful animations and the storyline is good too! Unfortunately there is only one season.

I absolutely despise they way they now have a trend of having seasons in anime.

Great in every aspect! The only negative thing I have to say about it is that although some of the characters are meant to have a temper or be a crybaby, it is sometimes over the top and quickly gets annoying.

Like your first scrapbook, you glue in some action cartoons and some colorful speeches but none of it is very original.

Thought I'd check this out because of ufotable and expected another Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu but somehow ended up with a popular shonen jump adaptation ... dropped out about midway during it's airing and only now finished the show.
While there is some of the expected visual glamour including very stylized combat techniques to elevate this but the format is safe and the writing not really great. Still, there is a decent amount of action and interesting demon powers to overcome so that should be cool..? It's just that they main trio(quartet) kinda sucks. Not only are they extremely one note but two of them are just played for comedy 80% of the time - and it's the kind of comedy that makes me want to blow my brains out. The fourth wheel Nezuko that should drive the story is mostly stashed away in her basket and can be used conveniently to save the day when required.
Could have been decent if it wasn't for those distracting issues...

As someone who is always critical-minded against hyped Animeshows, I have to say Demon Slayer satisfies my expectations.
I‘m really not a shounen fan, so it‘s difficult to reach a rating over 8, but this time, I‘ll give it a 9/10. I really loved the fun scenes, especially in the last episode. And yes of course there are moments which are stereotyped, but I think it’s okay.

After 9 episodes I just couldn't warm up to this show. It's too exposition heavy, I feel like every single episode tries to spoonfeed me concepts I've seen a million times before. The animation is nice, but no saving grace for me, as I don't care for the characters, either. Sad, but oh well.

loading replies

Got some good lines, but overall is too stereotyping.

loading replies

It's an animation. You can be visual and not have characters reading it to me like a play. It's 2021 how has anime not figured this out yet?
