A non-US serial killer for a change.
Happy to see great acting in a show for the UK.
Kinda boring. I’m a little sick of watching arrogant narcissistic serials killers raving about themselves and their exploits. You’re just a psycho buddy - nothing very interesting or special.
What is our fascination with accounts of murder and murderers? This drama is based on a critically acclaimed biography of the killer which was supplemented by many interviews and much research. It is not sensational and the macabre details are alluded to but not shown. It truly tries to be an account not a conclusion which is purposely left to the audience to draw. It was well cast and performed. As a David Tennant fan, I am never disappointed with his performance. I just wish he wasn’t so comfortable in the role of the villain. (Time for a light hearted role, David.) I give this miniseries an 8 (very good) out of 10. [True Crime Drama]
David Tennant is excellent in this well done piece of drama.
[Starzplay] What makes this thriller remarkable are the performances of its actors, with special mention of David Tennant (perhaps one of his best works). Although it is frustrating that there is no longer development of the story and the main character, because the three episodes fall short. There is a certain urgency in the structure of the series, and that makes it less effective.
Watch if looking for a short mini. nothing special, or superb but good enough. Reflects on some nice points of the flawed justice system
