Designed to Sell focuses on fixing up a home that is about to go on the market or that has been on the market but has not attracted buyers. The show provides expert real estate advice, along with a designer and contractors, who are given a $2,000 budget to redecorate three main rooms in the home, generally cosmetically only, in order to increase the chances of a sale. The series features four separate teams in four different U.S. cities: Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, D.C. and Atlanta.
