While it did take a minute to get used to the animation style, especially for the Doctor and Martha I overall had a good time with Infinite Quest. It was so much fun seeing a Doctor on an adventure that spanned so many interesting planets/locals. That;s something a live action episode would never have the budget to realize so I'm glad some of these wilder locals setting ideas realized in some way.

I especially loved the antagonists. Anthony Stewart Head returns to Doctor Who as the Cad Bane-eque Balthazar. His design was cool as hell (cleverly avoiding having to animate the mouth movements) and Head brings a slaptain Kalico and the giant Mantis were also pretty fun to see.

While just a minor short for CBBC Infinite Quest is of equal writing quality to the lie action episodes. Some of the structure of the episode is odd because it was written to be segments spread over weeks but overall it was a solid adventure. Honestly if I considered it part of wider series 3 it would be one of the higher rated episodes.
