Strax is probably the funniest TV character since Phoebe Buffay.
Surrender to the glory of the Sontaran Empire!!
10/10
All Gold
My Doctor
I'm so in awe
now My Doctor
The best Doctor
Peter Capaldi is now in
the role, he Knocks it
out the ball park in
every single episode
with hid flawless
Phenomenal performance.
Loved this episode and
it was a great nod back
all the way back to
Season 2, having the
sister ship in this was
brilliant. Great to have
Madame Vastra and
Jenny and Strax in this
episode once again,
they always have
The Doctors back,
Regardless of what
face he happens to be
wearing. I am sad though
that this episode marks
the end of
"The Paternoster Gang"
After this awesome 7th
appearance we never
see or hear from them
ever again, (yes they
are in audio books
and some short mini
sketches but sadly there
time in Doctor Who
within the main show is up.
I love The Doctor and
Clara, their friendship
is off the charts amazing,
I loved how The Doctor
straight told her
"I'm not your Boyfriend",
as he said that's not
her fault believing otherwise.
"Missy" in paradise
(Her paradise you
might say), I absolutely
love Missy she's my
favourite of all and I
am super super excited
now she's here with her
very own brand of
Chaos and Madness,
whatever Missy is selling
I'm definitely buying
because "She" is
The Boss
The Queen and
above all She's so
Frickin Awesome,
(She's so fine She
blows my mind).
I absolutely love
how my Doctor was
once again disoriented
After "Regeneration"
all the Cosplaying Doctors
that come after seem to
forget that's how it is
and that's how it's supposed
to happen.
My Doctor knocked it completely out of the
Ball Park portraying that.
"PETER CAPALDI
IS
THE DOCTOR"
This is the season that made me drop the show. I wonder if i will still have similar feelings by the end, or if i find i will like it, as i have for example season 7, which i liked a lot more upon rewatching.
With this episode, i like it more now.
As an introduction to a new doctor, it is actually quite good. I wasn't a fan of the first half with the doctor all rambly, although i liked him being a grumpy with people and kinda crazyed. And then when he was mostly lucid is when i really started to enjoy his character.
I love the phone call with 11 and Clara.
Vastra was right about Clara in her behavior towards the doctor. Vastra understood the importance of being witness to a timelord, the doctor, regenerating.
I used to not like the doctor's friends in victorian britain, but upon rewatching the show i did come to like them. In this episode i like them even more. They are also hot.
I liked Strax and the doctor's comments about Clara.
Clara got roasted this episode a lot, and i like it, she could do with a little humbling, and she definitely got humbled here. Maybe it was a bit too much though.
Don't like the new theme tune.
I like 12 and Clara's dynamic.
Tardis design hasn't changed enough.
I liked the doctor's rescue of Clara.
I like the moral ambiguity of whether the doctor killed the machine or the machine self-destructed, even though it looked like the machine would self-destruct.
First capaldi episode and it’s ok, he’s pretty good, everyone else, not so much.
Great season premiere! I think I'm already in love with the new doctor. Also, Vastra, Jenny and Strax should definitely have their own spin off, they are hilarious.

What is it with Moffat and this desire to neg female characters? It's kind of annoying, to be honest.
Plus, I think that Clara went from "new companion with something strange going on" to "girl who knows the Doctor best" a bit too fast - it feels like this weird switching back and forth between "oh she's so special and amazing," and "let me cruelly point out flaws that she does not actually display." For instance, she keeps getting called a control freak, but they've given her so little time for character development that I'm not actually sure she is - in fact, throwing herself into the time stream, or her first reaction being to trust the Doctor to come for her is the opposite of a control freak, really. Or they make a huge thing out of the fact that Clara is upset that the Doctor isn't the pretty (questionable, honestly, looking at Matt Smith objectively, but that's just an aside) young man she knew, when a. it's understandable to be disturbed to look into a completely changed face (hell, Rose had the same issue and her Doctor actually got prettier - sorry Christopher), and b. he was also acting completely different from the man she fancied, which seems kind of important to acknowledge. I mean, if he looked different but acted the same (like old!11th) or looked the same but acted differently (like cyber-planner!11th) she stood by him, but both at the same time would throw anyone off.
And what is it with every female character having to be in love with the Doctor? I liked how they subverted that trope with the Ponds, but why does it keep happening? Please, please tell me Missy is just joking or delusional and it's not actually the case that as soon as the Master regenerates into a woman he falls in love with the Doctor??
Still, Moffat's a good writer regarding unexpected and interesting storylines, and I really like the Paternoster gang. And of course, Peter Capaldi is great.
