Join award-winning television comedian Dom Joly on an epic road trip around Britain in an attempt to fill his house from top to bottom with British-made products in the brand new series Made In Britain. As part of this unique experiment, Dom will have his family home turned upside down and stripped of everything he owns that’s not made in the UK. He’s then challenged to go on a remarkable shopping trip, travelling the length and breadth of the country to try and replace all his foreign goods with British-made products.

1x01 Dom's House is Stripped

In this episode, after seeing his house stripped, Dom is on the hunt for a quintessentially British vehicle to drive around the country. But what will he discover about British motor manufacturing as he takes part in a weird and wonderful test drive at Castle Combe race track?

On his quest to find out what we manufacture in Britain today, comedian Dom Joly has the unenviable task of trying to restock his kitchen in the Cotswolds with British made products. On his travels Dom discovers that Britain is full of surprises. He unearths one of the country's most abundant natural resources and discovers that the classic digestive biscuit was originally marketed as a cure for flatulence. But will Dom's British findings pass muster with his mother as he throws a very strange tea party?

In this programme Dom has to re-stock his bedroom and finds himself modelling some woolly British-made pants in Yorkshire. Dom also discovers a business which is doing its bit to revive clothing manufacturing in the UK but, with the low cost of foreign labour, does this kind of factory have a future?

As he travels around the country from Devon to Stoke Dom discovers that we Brits are bog mad. He finds an eco-friendly outdoor compost loo and takes part in a "Euro-turd" test. At a toilet tissue factory Dom finds out for himself whether he’s a scruncher or a folder...

As he sets out on his shopping trip, Dom is feeling depressed about the state of British manufacturing. We invented the Television - but we don't even make it here any more. As his journey takes some unusual turns, he begins to wonder what "made in Britain" even means...
