Dororo 2019

10 episodes in so far and this show has definitely grown on me. I wasn't totally sold (but was intrigued) by the first couple of episodes and it has built itself up at a good pace since then. There's a nice mixture of story-of-the-week but with an overall narrative going which I think works really well here and gives you time to learn more about Dororo and Hyakkimaru and see them develop.
And wow, I was not expecting the show to be quite so gory or deal with such harsh themes either. Then again, I'm not massively familiar with most of Tezuka Osamu's work (for my sins), other than knowing he was the author of Astro Boy and is considered by some to be the father of manga/anime.

Few episodes in and you won't regret watching this anime. Every episode has its own charm.
Plot was very strong and It'll make you think "What is right?".
This is a must watch and I'll definitely recommend this anime to everyone.

My first animes I watched were Death Note Naruto and FMA, a bunch of years ago now. When I finished them I just had this very special and indescriptive feeling that run through/fill you, this feeling that, when you discovered them, made you love animes.
This is the first anime since a while which left me with this exact same feeling, it's like you just achieved watching a masterpiece, you are aware of it, you just enjoy every minutes of watching because you know they are precious. Dororo is a gem.

Although it gets boring at times, the unusual art style and strange plot is refreshing.

Dororo had the potential to be genuinely great, but it wasted it. I wanted to believe it had well-written characters and deep themes. But truthfully, it had neither. The visuals and directing were promising at first, but the animation quality rapidly declined, and the fight choreography became lackluster. There was no substance to the story, it was rarely unpredictable, and the bulk of it was episodic filler. This show had potential with such a fantastic premise, but it squandered it by devolving into a formulaic monster-of-the-week structure.

In the end, I can't say I disliked watching it all. There were parts I liked, parts I hated, and the rest of the show was average. The most enjoyment I got from this anime was imagining how great it could have been. It is not worth anger, analysis, or remembering, and consequently, I have no reason to watch it ever again.

Fumbles on the payoff, but delights with a uniquely subtle collection of stories that separates it from other anime.

Very interesting show a man father sells his organs off to demons and with each demon he slays he gets an organ back. The concept is definitely different and I love that its a samurai style show. I am already hyped to see next weeks episode and see what he has come back to him. I wonder if his voice will be the last thing that comes.

Can't wait to see how he takes a leak.
