Dr. Phil often says, “People who have nothing to hide, hide nothing.” Taylor wrote into the show claiming that her mother and siblings were living in horrendous conditions which included filth, feces, garbage, bugs, fleas, dirty mattresses and empty pantries.

Taylor claims her mother is a “psychopathic liar,” an abuser, and has taken credit cards out in her daughter’s name, which her mother denies. Susan says she and her daughter once had a relationship people were jealous of until, according to Susan, an inappropriate Instagram post a year-and-a-half ago started their relationship in a downward spiral. Taylor says she wrote into the show as her last hope for her younger siblings ages 12 and 14 still living under the same roof as her mother. In Part 2 of this mother-daughter showdown, Susan and Taylor get new information that sheds even more light on the living conditions of Susan’s former home and the fallout for her young children. Susan says her daughter is a narcissist and needs to move on from the past.

Christa says she wrote into the show because she’s been in a divorce battle with her husband, John, for two years, and their 16-year-old son is well aware of the chaos in the household.

Christa calls her soon-to-be ex a “pathological liar” and compares him to Ted Bundy. John calls Christa a “pill head” and “the devil.” Their son, Jake, says he prefers to play video games 24/7 to keep his mind from the family’s troubles. According to his parents, he’s currently refusing to go to school and band, went from honor roll to failing some classes, and is getting violent with his family. Christa confronts John about their opposing parenting styles and divorce drama in an attempt to secure a future for their teen before it’s too late.

Alex’s family claims she had it all. Her mother Jane, and younger sisters, Victoria and Stephanie, say Alex was homecoming princess, a varsity cheerleader, and known as one of the prettiest, most popular girls in school.

But they claim those glory days have since faded because now, Alex captures her small town’s attention with mugshots and headlines reporting her numerous arrests, including an arrest for assaulting her sister with a butcher knife. Her family says Alex is a drug addict and her behavior knows no bounds. Alex says her family needs to stop harping on things that she insists are old news because she is dedicated to turning her life around.

Jennifer claims her family has been the victims of hackers for almost two years. The problem is her husband, Billy, thinks she is the hacker! Things have gotten so bad that Billy has asked for a divorce.

Jennifer says he is so obsessed with the situation that he has lost weight and is about to lose the family auto business. But Billy says he just wants the truth. He claims Jennifer has admitted to hacking their phones and to being unfaithful. Jennifer says she only took the blame to end all arguments but instead, it made things worse. Jennifer says she wants to clear her name and save her marriage!

Dr. Phil continues his conversation with Jennifer and her husband, Billy. She says their marriage is in shambles because her family has been targeted by “hackers” for the last year-and-a-half.

But Billy says he has evidence that leads back to his wife’s phone, proving she is the hacker. Jennifer is adamant that someone else — an ex, a family member, Billy, even the Russians — could be responsible. But Dr. Phil says he doesn’t believe Jennifer, and he gives her chance after chance to come clean. You do not want to miss today’s show! Stephanie says she dresses up like a homeless boy to blend in so she can search the streets for her homeless, heroin-addicted boyfriend, David, who goes by the name “2B”.

Tina, “2B’s” mother, says her son was once a rising star musician with a record deal, but now, she doesn’t recognize him. “2B’s” half-sister, Alexis, says she has given up on him and wishes Tina and Stephanie would do the same, but Alexis claims the two women enable “2B.” Celebrity hair stylist/groomer and former addict Jason Schneidman meets with “2B” to give him a haircut and a pep talk, while Dr. Phil helps Tina and Stephanie see their contribution to “2B’s” addiction.

Jacquelyn and her husband, Jody, say their 21-year-old daughter, Hannah, is a former cheerleader and Sunday school student who was always a loving child.

But, according to her parents, out-of-the-blue, at age 15, Hannah got in trouble with police for stealing a bottle of perfume. And since then, Jacquelyn claims her daughter has lived a life of crime, which includes a criminal record for stealing and crashing a car, possession of drugs and resisting arrest. They even suspect she has worked as an escort to support a lifestyle of constant partying, which Hannah denies. While Hannah admits she loves to party, she says her parents are way too strict, naive and Christian to understand anything about having fun. She claims she was always just a rebellious person and even manipulative — a trait she claims she learned from her mother!

Elizabeth claims her ex-husband, Brian, is an evil, manipulative liar who has brainwashed their son against her.

She says her son is angry, defiant, and constantly begs her to go back to living with his father. Elizabeth claims Brian discusses their court appearances with their son and even told him she wanted to abort him. Elizabeth says she wouldn’t be surprised if Brian convinces their son to stab her in her sleep! Brian says he doesn’t need to brainwash their son because the boy can see for himself that his mother is a vindictive liar. According to Brian, Elizabeth is unfit and unstable and has tried to commit suicide three times. Brian claims the only reason Elizabeth has custody of their son is because she conspired with two of Brian’s ex-girlfriends to file false charges against him. Can Dr. Phil bring these warring exes together to co-parent?

Valerie claims her 16-year-old daughter, Veronica, lies, breaks curfew and hangs with the “wrong crowd” and she’s afraid it could cause her to end up getting kidnapped — especially since she ran away once before for an entire week.

Valerie admits she can’t always keep an eye on Veronica due to her hectic work schedule, and therefore, she has tried to make up for the guilt she says she feels for her absence by buying Veronica things, including Botox injections and lip fillers! Meanwhile, Veronica claims her mother is a “hyperactive stalker” who does not understand that she’s just living the life of a typical teen. And, Dr. Phil hears from both a current and a former nanny who share their opinions of what they believe is truly going on in Valerie’s household.

John says his wife, Heather, is one of the most brilliant nurses he has ever known — she even graduated valedictorian of her class in nursing school.

But after suffering from extreme back pain, Heather admits she turned into a real-life “Nurse Jackie” and began to take pain meds … eventually stealing them from her job at the hospital. Now, John and Heather are both blaming each other for Heather’s inability to stop using and their constant, even sometimes physical, confrontations. Heather’s 18-year-old son, Cameron, begs his mother to get clean before she loses her career and her life. Also, Dr. Phil interviews New York Times best-selling author Mitch Albom about his latest book, The Next Person You Meet in Heaven.

Theresa claims she has lost control of her 16-year-old daughter, Tessa, and fears that one day, Tessa will kill her.

Theresa claims Tessa has set the house on fire, physically attacked her, and even launched a violent attack on her 67-year-old grandmother, Bonnie, repeatedly hitting her in the face and throwing rocks at her head. Theresa claims her home is a war zone, and the police are on speed dial, having been to the house over 100 times. Four months ago, Tessa left home, and her family says they haven’t seen her since. That was until Dr. Phil intervened and brought Tessa and her mother to L.A. Theresa’s sister, Tracey, says she believes much of her niece’s bad behavior falls on Theresa’s shoulders.

Dr. Phil continues his conversation with Theresa, who claims her 16-year-old daughter, Tessa, is so out of control that she violently attacked her 67-year-old grandmother, Bonnie, repeatedly hitting her in the face and throwing rocks at her head.

Theresa also claims Tessa set the family home on fire numerous times, resulting in over 100 calls to the police and seven arrests. But Tessa says, “so what?” She blames her mother for always putting men before her. Today, Tessa faces off with her grandmother. What is next for Tessa?

Lorreine also claims he has beaten her in the back of her head with a closed fist, and he has been arrested multiple times for domestic abuse. But Chance says he doesn’t abuse people. He says it’s Lorreine who is always angry and childish, and she’s the one who was arrested just last month for scratching his face and leaving him a bloody mess. This couple wants to work things out, but will they take Dr. Phil’s advice? Plus, are you looking to buy a cute, little designer dog? Jimmy was the original drummer for legendary band Brooks and Dunn, but there is one area of his life that he says has completely gone off beat, his 37-year-old daughter, Tia.

His wife Donna, Tia’s stepmother, says Tia has made all sorts of untrue accusations about her. And Jimmy says the accusations Tia has made against him, including sexual molestation, are even more outrageous and untrue. Jimmy says if there is one person who can break Tia’s loop of dysfunction, it’s Dr. Phil.

Autumn says she was called a “crazy, jealous girlfriend” after a video of her keying her ex-boyfriend’s car went viral.

But Autumn claims she was pushed to the point of insanity after being stuck in a cycle of abuse for almost two years, where she claims her ex-boyfriend, D’Andre, choked her, head-butted her and sexually assaulted her– but, D’Andre denies sexually assaulting her. Autumn’s father, Sean, says one time, he picked up his daughter from D’Andre’s house and she had swollen eyes and blood coming out of her nose and mouth. Sean says his daughter refused to press charges because she did not want to get D’Andre in trouble. Why is Autumn defending D’Andre to her parents?

Several of the victims of this catfish reached out to Amanda and Alan warning them, but Amanda says it got scary when she learned one of the victims received interior and exterior pictures of Amanda and Alan’s home. With the help of a private investigator, Alan and Amanda discovered the catfish wasn’t a man after all — but a 24-year-old woman with a boyfriend, who says he had no idea she was living this secret online life. Dr. Phil discovers this isn’t the first time this catfish has been caught.

The catfish has been caught and “he” is really a “she” – 24-year-old Sarah. Sarah’s boyfriend, “Ken,” says he had no idea she was conning so many women for so many years. Sarah meets her bait, and Dr. Phil uncovers why Sarah says she has been pretending to be a man online for so long. Amanda and Alan claim Sarah is addicted to catfishing and really good at lying, and say they don’t believe she will ever stop. Can Sarah stop the con?

Bronwyn claims a man she hooked up with a few times has teamed up with her mother to destroy her, and they have come up with so many outlandish lies against her that Child Protective Services knows her on a first-name basis.

Bronwyn and Brett each have thousands of pages of evidence claiming the other parent is unfit and have been battling in court for years; Charlamagne Tha God (radio show "The Breakfast Club") tells how anxiety has been a driving force in his life.

Angela and her husband, Dan, say for years they have always seemed to be the picture-perfect couple.

They have four beautiful daughters and say they are prominent members of their church. Angela even once was a pre-school teacher and kept fit with personal trainers, and they had a beautiful house and a nanny. But they say what their friends, neighbors, and church congregation didn’t know was that Angela had a secret. Angela says she can’t stop being unfaithful to her husband, claiming to have cheated with nearly 20 different men. Angela says she feels awful about her numerous extramarital affairs, but claims because of a “sex addiction,” she just can’t stop being unfaithful.

BeVee and Steve say they are on constant high alert as they never know when their 15-year-old daughter, Taylor, will be triggered into a violent outburst.

They say these outbursts are like uncaging a rabid animal, as Taylor will punch holes in walls and hit her mother. Taylor says she has absolutely no control over her outbursts and blames her parents, particularly her mother, for much of her violent behavior. BeVee and Steve say things are currently so bad that they are terrified any form of punishment may send their daughter spiraling. Steve says right now, his only option is to physically restrain Taylor, and admits to one time resorting to hitting her with a belt! Jenn claims her husband, Seth’s, anger is out of control and destroying their marriage.

Jenn says when she met Seth, her friends warned her about him, but she thought she could change him. It’s been 17 years, and Jenn claims Seth has charged at her with his fists in the air screaming that he was going to “end her,” told their 6-year-old daughter that “Daddy is miserable,” and threatened to hit their 16-year-old son. Seth says when he gets verbally abusive, Jenn throws it right back at him. He says his wife is a hurtful, controlling, conniving woman, and he feels trapped in their marriage. Jenn’s mother says she is afraid of her son-in-law when he rages and has even had to call the police on Seth.

Diamond was a depressed teen named Brandon who never left the bedroom and always wore a hoodie and face shield or sunglasses to hide from the world.

However, in the past year, Brandon has transitioned into a beautiful young woman named Diamond. She says she’s the happiest she’s ever been and her glamorous lifestyle is like a movie or a music video. However, her mom, Kristi, says Diamond is jobless, homeless, and emotionally unstable. She says her daughter has been kicked out of 13 shelters/homes in the past year, and banned from all Salvation Army shelters nationwide! Kristi says she gives Diamond half her paycheck, but Diamond still puts herself in constant danger by escorting. Kristi says she worries about Diamond 24/7 and is choosing to be homeless with Diamond just to take care of her. Diamond’s brother, Mitch, says Diamond is an entitled narcissist who has selfishly taken over his mother’s life. He says if things don’t change, he wants them both out of his life for good. Can Dr. Phil help piece this family back together and set Diamond on a better path? Find out!

Angie says her husband of 25 years, John, is a liar who kept his inheritance a secret and spent over $100,000 without her knowledge.

She says John almost got away with it, until he “accidentally” butt dialed her. When she listened to the voicemail, she says she heard him unknowingly confess everything. But despite being caught red-handed, Angie says John refuses to admit what or who he blew all that money on. That is until he reveals the full extent to Dr. Phil.

Nancy is a concerned grandmother who says she’s pleading for her daughter, Paige’s, life because she claims Paige stopped caring for her 18-month-old little girl.

Nancy and her husband, Lance, say Paige left her daughter with them to live in a car with her girlfriend. Her girlfriend recently entered a treatment facility, and Paige moved in with her parents, but they fear that the minute her girlfriend is released, Paige will go back to living in a car with her girlfriend and leave her daughter behind with them. Lance says he’s been waiting to confront his daughter until they get on Dr. Phil’s stage. The family comes together to stop Paige before she hits the road again.

Pamela wrote into the show saying she is obsessed with the 15 cats that currently live in her home, and she’s worried that her cat obsession might cause the end of her fourth marriage.

Pamela says she is consumed with anxiety about the welfare of her cats and rarely leaves her home for fear that something bad might happen to them, and she says she is terrified that one of her cats might die. In fact, Pamela, a recent breast cancer survivor, admits, “I’d rather have breast cancer again than lose another cat.” Her husband, Mitch, says their lives revolve around the cats’ needs and feeding schedules, and he and Pamela get into fights about it. Mitch says something needs to change.

Michelle says her super-sized family of 12 children, ranging from 28 years old to 6 with number 13 due in two months, is full of problems from addiction, to clutter to finances.

Penny says when she lost her close friend, Glena, she offered comfort to Glena’s grief-stricken husband, Glen, but was shocked when he leaned over and tried to kiss her on the day of the memorial service.

Within days, Glen says he revealed his true feelings for Penny, but she says she felt like she was betraying her dead friend. Nonetheless, just three months after the funeral, Penny and Glen were married. But Penny also fell ill and claims while she was in the hospital, Glen told her best friend, Paula, that she was dying. Dr. Phil sits down with Kerri Rawson, author of A Serial Killer’s Daughter: My Story of Faith, Love, And Overcoming. Kerri’s father, Dennis Rader, is also known as the notorious serial killer “BTK,” which stands for “Bind, Torture, Kill.”

BTK’s murder spree terrorized Wichita, Kansas from 1974 to 1991, when he strangled 10 people while living a double life as a hands-on father, provider and churchgoer. Rader was eventually caught and arrested in 2005 and is currently serving 10 life sentences for killing eight adults and two children. Kerri talks about how her life was immediately shaken the day the FBI informed her who her father really was.

Then, Dr. Phil speaks with Sherry Ballard whose daughter, Crystal Rogers, has been missing since 2015. During their search, Sherry’s husband and Crystal’s father, Tommy Ballard, was shot and killed. While both crimes remain cold cases, Sherry says she believes they are related. Former FBI Crime Profiler Candice DeLong looks at the clues and weighs in on what could have happened.

The two are engaged to be married, but Kalan says she doesn’t want to be walking down the aisle with a masked man.

Sixty-four-year-old Josie says she met the love of her life, Victor, on Facebook. Even though he’s Nigerian, 30 years younger, and she’s never physically met him, she insists it’s true love.

She’s purchased a ticket to Nigeria and hopes to marry Victor, but her older sister, Carmen, her best friend, Angela, and her 19-year-old son, Anthony, say Josie is acting like a teenage fool. They believe Victor is conning Josie into marrying him for a green card. Dr. Phil took cameras to Nigeria to find Victor to see if he’s telling Josie the truth. Josie’s family says they want Dr. Phil to convince Josie that this relationship will never work. Is Victor who he says he is, and will Josie leave for Nigeria after hearing what Dr. Phil has to say?

Melissa says her 14-year-old daughter, Destoni, is aggressive, violent, and a bully.
