Looks like I was wrong about this one,by episode four it has become a joke of a show..terrible.
Seriously, never in the history of TV / movies have you wished that a hostage would die. If I was the husband of the miserable, personality free (and as an actress talentless) and dour drone that is the hostage in this series and the hostage takers demanded $1m for her life, I'd have offered them $2m to blow her brains out. Hell, $3m, just to be sure!!!
Terrible show really. Wooden acting, characters who are supposed to be close having zero chemistry, unbelievable and idiotic story line, story prolonged by lead character incompetence, episodes overly long, slow and boring. A bunch of guys who are supposed to be special forces (which SF exactly?) are at their chum's wedding party boozing it up and they get a call to be "wheels up in 8 hours". So these are the ONLY SF guys in the whole of the US right? Nobody is bothered they will be handing weapons within 8 hours of being on a bender right? Then there's the millionaire heir to a family business who's happily leading his life as a particularly dismal SF trooper, having married a half soaked, boring, sour faced drip (oh yeah, this is the brilliant scientist, dull as dishwater but brilliant) who just also happens to be in the CIA, and he didn't know? Then because these guys are so special, they get to go jetting off around the world on a whim, making a nuisance of themselves, upsetting (equally lacklustre) embassy and CIA staff and getting an "in" such that they are able to a) pressure a South American government and military and b) actually take over the running of their operations (which they then make a total botch of). I mean seriously? The terrible shaky zoom in / zoom out camera work only helps to drop this garbage from a generous 3 stars to an equally generous 2. Absolutely the most poorly scripted junk filled with talentless actors I have EVER seen. The gun-ho super-hero speeches delivered by guys that would look more at home in a hair salon just make it even more cringe-worthy.
Really slow and very unrealistic. Bad storytelling, bad scripts.
I'm ep. 3 Prince gets Amber, and what does a top notch operators does!? Just stands there to get shot and lose his HVT. I haven't seen such a bad script in a while.
I was expecting a lot better. Than this.
I felt like this had potential, however, it was a very slow drag and honestly ended up with only having potential for a 90 minutes movie instead of a 10 episode season.
This is a mediocre show, with an average storyline that lacks excitement and fails to fully engage the audience.
The acting performances are terrible and overall the show fails to deliver anything particularly memorable or outstanding.
Starts out well then slowly bores you !
You are supposed to root for the heroes, I ended up not giving a damn.
Such a feeble ending.
Started off promising, but then didn't really get anywhere.
After about half of the show, I couldn't stand that woman anymore. What an exhausting, ungrateful person. If only they had left her to her fate.
The few action scenes were quite nice, though.
I will need to have to watch the original "When Hero's Fly" which seems to have better ratings.
I feel that many of the comments here are a bit too tough.
I enjoyed this, providing I was willing to overlook the implausible. While it's certainly not the most realistic show in history, it's much better than most things airing lately and the dialog is better than 80% alternatives.
In addition, I don't believe it's "slow" in the conventional sense (eg - it's not like a pretentious independent film, etc). It's merely slow in the sense that it's spread over ?11? episodes and the story would have been far more compelling over 8, in my humble opinion.
This is one of those shows that would be best binged because you are left with a bit of a cliffhanger; or engaged to learn what comes next, at the conclusion of each episode.
Although I haven't seen this yet, I will say that these negative reviews sound a lot like the ones for Andor. People want blood every two minutes and the complaints are generally about it being too slow with too much storytelling blah blah. Storytelling and character development is kind of what it's all about with me so most of these negative reviews don't hit home.
First episode was good, this could be another top notch show from apple.
the worst show you can see is this one . piece of shit got blown up and went all over the place , the writer getting his ideas while smoking weed ...
i did give 2 at rating for 2 fighting scenes the rest is shit .
Absolutely terrible with a « morale » coming from nowhere… typically by Apple standards. Don’t waste your time on it.
It's just plain bad and boring.
Absolutely rubbish. First couple of episodes are quite ok, but the following are incredibly boring. Another Apple show to forget.
This was really bad tbh while based on the genre is my kind of show. Watch 4 episodes but they are all over the place with this series. Characters didn't spoke to me at all. Not planning to watch the remaining episodes.
So the last 2 episodes are the only decent ones but at the end you are gong to be like "...what the fuck did I just watch..."
An inexplicable and dispensable farce. Too many plot designs make me feel uncomfortable and a little wasted of time.
Don’t bother watching this show until all the episodes are over then watch it in 4x speed. So much waste of time. The character development makes no utter sense. Lots of scenes with camera pointing at people. It’s like watching paint dry. The storyline doesn’t make any logical sense. They could’ve wrapped this series up in 4-6 episodes.
Another series not to waste your time on. Just endless drag of rescue mission

Should have stuck with operators deploying on missions instead of "Taken: Special forces." None of the characters feel relatable, Amber is annoying and, unfortunately, has a lot of the show dedicated to her. I would say watch Episodes 1 and 9 - which are quite literally the entire show, without fillers.
