I have been catching up on this show for a couple of months and have truly been enjoying myself. The episodes may not always be as hilarious as the last, but there is always something to learn in each one of them about the importance of friendships, family, and standing by your own principles.
Not even Ellen Morgan's will of not hurting people's feelings has kept her from making that very mistake every once in a while, but her humility to admit her faults, apologize for it, make every effort to change her ways, and then be human enough to do it over again has been a source of much inspiration and hilarity for me.
I absolutely love the supporting characters as well. Her "no-brains-have-heart" book club is always a joy to watch. Joe and Audrey's interactions are often fun, too. My heart literally broke every time someone had to leave or was just literally swiped out of the cast list. But the new people who came in their place did also have something new to add to the show.
Some of my favorite episodes so far are: "Hello, I Must Be Going", "The Tape", "The Therapy Episode," and "Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah."

A nice comedy to see. At the end of the show, it had for that time some new and controversial topics. Maybe for some people, it might still be a bit controversial nowadays.
