Matthew is frustrated to learn that his father's will confirms that it was his wish for Rosemary to be buried alongside him. Whilst Jimmy and Carl are resigned to this fact, Matthew is still vehemently angry. Later that day, as the funeral procession reaches the graveyard, Grayson is horrified to see Matthew filling in the grave with a shovel. Gray loses it and the pair brawl in the mud. The police show up and Matthew is taken away but swears that it's not over. Meanwhile, at the hospital, Donald continues to play games with Nicola when she gives him details of private nursing agencies. Donald asks why he should want anyone else but her to be by his side. He says that she's described what seems to be a perfect marriage so he would like her to be the one by his side day and night. Paddy is shocked to discover that Ross is dating both Chas and Lexi. Paddy warns Ross on the sly that he won’t get away with it.

Ross organises a lunch date with Chas, but Lexi turns up with a takeaway and he is thrown off guard. Ross makes an excuse to nip over to the Vet's and lies to Chas that he has to miss their date to do an emergency shift at work. Chas drags him into the back room for a quickie. Carl sees and when Lexi later knocks back Carl to see Ross he tells her about Ross and Chas! Ashley is horrified when one of the loose slates falls from the church roof and plummets towards Alan. Ashley manages to push Alan out of the way but as the slate shatters, it leaves a painful splinter in Alan's foot. Perdy turns up at Mill Cottage and tells Gray that she has had the divorce petition drawn up. Katie comforts a devastated Gray.

Chas apologises to Lexi for going out with Ross, but the penny drops that Ross has been seeing both of them and Chas throws a drink in Lexi's face. The girls start to brawl and are arrested, but they later make their peace and vow to get revenge on two-timing Ross. Alan tells a guilty Ashley that someone told him that he knew the tiles were loose on the roof and Ashley assumes that Greg has been telling tales.

Jimmy's emotions are stirred when a business associate mentions that he bumped into Kelly working in a restaurant in Liverpool. Jimmy tries to bury his reawakened feelings for Kelly and later tells Carrie that she and Scarlett mean a lot to him. Jimmy and Carrie kiss and Carrie blurts out that she loves him. But there's an awkward moment when a flustered Jimmy replies ‘cheers’ instead of declaring his love! Lexi and Chas plot their revenge against Ross and they tell a surprised Ross that they overreacted and should make friends again.

Carrie is upset about Jimmy's failure to tell her that he loves her too and she is cool with Jimmy when he tries to apologise. Meanwhile, Scarlett is also upset with Jimmy for 'paying' Daz to take her out. Carrie is further infuriated when Jimmy is scathing about her getting pregnant with Lexi when she was a teenager and she tells Jimmy that it might be best if she and Scarlett leave the village. Jonny starts up a dancercise class in the village hall, but the older members of the community find it difficult to follow his routine, as it's more aerobics than dancing.

Jo is shocked when Sam lets slip that the wedding won't be happening in the church, but she is touched when she is given Laurel's altered wedding dress and Andy shows her the beautifully decorated barn. But disaster strikes when Andy is unexpectedly called into court for his sentence and the wedding is off. Carrie is furious when she finds out that Jimmy was trying to look up the restaurant that Kelly was seen working in. Jimmy denies it, but Carrie decides that their relationship is over. Carl gives Jimmy food for thought when he tells him that he's wasting his time pining over Kelly and he tells Carrie he wants her back.
