The bathroom scene with all the girlies and the scene with Cal, Fez, Ash and that blonde girlie were EXCELLENT, everything else was a lot of nothing
Rue thinking gatekeep, gaslight, girlboss is a good thing is gonna be her downfall.
they said "oklahoma" a total of 12 times in that scene.
Rue was way outta line this episode, gaslighting Gia and what she said the Ali. She’s fucking screwing up herself and everyone else around her.
this is not going to end well.
i will be treating cal's backstory like it's some cute gay short film that has no context in the show or any correlation to cal jacobs from now on ok thanks
We need more of Jules and Maddy's povs; I don't care about Cal and they have it cramned with too many side characters. Rue was the saving grace of this episode.
"I’m also starting to think Euphoria has no idea what to do with Jules anymore. Let’s just run everything that happened to her last season: She moved to town, had sex with Cal Jacobs, fell in love with a catfish that turned out to be Nate, got blackmailed by Nate, left town for a bit, and broke Rue’s heart. Compare that to what she’s doing now: She made it official with Rue and … she’s conflicted about it. I know, I know, it’s only episode three and there’s plenty more to come, but it’s almost like her story is over. (Note that every major character except Jules and Elliot has had a scene from their perspective.) But there is so much more that can be interrogated" -Vulture
this was the best one so far
the 4th wall break and the comedy at fez's
Apparently you can comment on episodes?? This one was probably the best episode of the show I've seen. Every episode is so beautifully shot but this one was written just exceptionally. Loved Lexi finally getting some shine, got to show some love for the stand-ins. I thought the Cassie storyline was hilarious as well. Waking up at 4am to look cute so your crush will notice you and then looking ridiculous was the first high school thing this movie show ever did. That scene with Cal and Ashtray had me wincing, kid really put his back into it. I thought the intro was just exceptional. The world that Sam Levinson created and then to make a world inside that world in like 15 minutes is amazing. Blew me away. That final shot of Rue getting high on her own supply will definitely be a sign of things to come and I can't wait for it!
this show is about how everyone are making their lives worst every day. what you guys guessing about how this isn't going to end well.
Ah, damnit Rue. The only truthful moment is when she breaks the 4th wall to tell us "I'm not it". Treating Ali that way is just rubbing our noses in it.
On the plus side, this whole time I was thinking that Jules needed to get to know Elliot so she could stop second guessing and maybe realize he's not the problem. I still have no idea what could come of it, but it's a positive relationship thus far, so I'm all for it.
And Lexi's show... Alright writing room, we know you know. :joy:
apart from Rue's storyline (and Jules'ssss) I'm beginning to treat this season as a comedy because honestly it's real hilarious most of the time
The music in this show is killer. All around. Lots of good stuff.
The only thing that I found comfort in was Jules and Elliot bonding
I’d kill to see Derek and Cal’s full love story! It was so beautiful and heartbreaking
I mean, what can I say? I’m such a sucker for friends to lovers and especially one that’s a queer “we can’t be together” tragedy
P.S. Cassie continues on her path of becoming the most pathetic person on earth:skull:
Damn that intro with Cal's back story was so well crafted.
i’m starting to get bored of the drug abuse

By getting consistently more and more absurd and over-the-top with the drug dealing and crime story lines, Euphoria seems to be losing sight of what made its first season a masterpiece: its characters and the exploration of their problems. Don't get me wrong, Euphoria has been extreme and exaggerated from the beginning. It just feels like we're not getting the realistic character development and smart commentary that once came with the action. I hope I'm mistaken and they manage to wrap this season up in a satisfying way. I still enjoy Rue and Elliot a lot, and I liked Cal's backstory.
