Well, that was disappointing. They should have taken a peek at The Leftovers to see how you properly end a season.
Sad to Nikki die. I wanted her to get her revenge. I'm also kinda bummed Emmit died too. Mr. Wrench must of really be fond of Nikki and who wouldn't be. Side note how did Emmit drive away after the shootout with the cop, I thought his car broke down right before that? I kind of like it that they left it on a cliffhanger letting us decide what happens. Do we root for evil, manipulating the truth to get the facts they want and getting away or do we root for the good, the truth is the truth and you can't change that.
I think the theme of the season between good and evil, truth and lies, Gloria and Varga was very interesting. Looking back on the beginning of every episode where its says "This is a true story" and then true goes away and then it is just story really hits on this theme. What is being told is it the truth or is it just a story? I always thought it was just funny they did this like the movie but it has some real meaning this season. Truth vs facts.
I went back and watched the first scene of the first episode and it was very similar to the last scene. A man is accused of killing his girlfriend and he denies it. He's not the same name or age but lives in the same location as the dead girlfriend's boyfriend. The cop doesn't believe his "story" because he has proof of where he lives and they need to pin this on someone. So which is true, the story or the facts? It ends where we don't know who "won" there just like the end of the season.
Honestly though, did Emmit really deserve to die? When he took out the loan he had absolutely no idea Varga was a criminal mastermind. By the time he figured out he was in way, way over his head and really couldn't do anything about it. What was he supposed to do at that point? Anything he did, he would've got himself killed trying to do it.The death of his brother was a complete accident. He was a spineless wuss, but is that deserving of death?
Loved this episode. I agree this season was slower but it paid off in the end. The only thing I don't like is that Stussy died and Varga got to live.
carrie coon i've always loved you
This final episode perfectly summarizes how mean, cruel and just plain nihilistic (not just to the characters but to the audience as well) this season was. Even though most of the characters that died, you could think, had an unfair end, I think Stuhlbarg's character had what it deserved (I fucking hated his guts).
Great season overall.
Firstly, amazing as always. Score, acting, scenes, colour grading, shot setup ; the whole lot amazing and on point.Next, I'm seeing a lot of bad comments about the ending, come on, did you really expect to see who walked through the door? Get real. That was never going to happen. This was an awesome ending that just leaves us hanging.
The worst Fargo season so far and the last it seams ...
[...] Vediano ciò che crediamo e non viceversa.»
Fantastic end to a fantastic season. Engrossing from beginning to end.
SOMEBODY TO LOVE-30-
So many dead people in this. O.o
It's sad that Nikki died but also fitting. That Mr. Wrench avenged her death by fulfilling her wish...Love it.He hasn't any luck with his partners...
Varga's fate is left unknown...That's what I call a perfect open End!
But for me someone showed up. :D
Still wonder what V. M. stands for...
Quite a disappointment. Too many convenient decisions and situations.
Disappointing finale. I loved this season but writers as good as these have led us to expect more from an ending.
And yet another entertaining and well told story. Bravo season 3. Bravo seasons 1-3. Nothing better than clever writing, directing, superb acting, and unique stories.
Sad to see Nikki die, she was my favorite character this season.
Aaaand we'll never know why Varga forced himself to vomit, few episodes back.
who was the guy on the start of the pilot of this season?
Loved the whole season. Ewan McGregor did an amazing job portraying the Stussies. I think Emmit had to die to emphasize that people are greedy?
