Man fuck that was heartbreaking. This show is out performing the original in every single way at this point.
Well that sucked because I wanted the baby to live. That's TV I guess. Pretty good episode though.
I know this series is a far cry from reality but this episode takes it to a whole new level.. I mean seriously WTF!!! Weird
Will baby turn into a zombie though? If not, we can assume that people born after the apocalypse are immune.
I love a good “dream” episode, but this was quite a strrrrrrretch. I don’t know if it’s the fact that I’ve not been all that invested in Grace as a character or the ultra-cheesy dialogue from all her “revelations.”
It was an attempt to be poignant and, in my opinion, it fell flat. In the end, Grace realizes that all of her emotional crescendos were literally one flat delusion, making all we had just seen even more absurd. Yeah, sure, it was definitely a twist but I don’t believe it served the story.
And after Morgan kills Riley’s entire team and stabs him in the chest, Riley doesn’t shoot Morgan upon his return? Was he inspired by Grace’s nonsense speech (which actually ended up being nonsense)? That was just lazy writing. Riley embalms people alive. He’s not that nice.
This series continues to be a challenge to get through.
Possibly the worst episode of any Walking Dead series, ever.
I'm usually a big fan of reality-altering episodes, like what they did with Tyreese's death or Michonne tripping in TWD, but this one just felt off to me. Wasn't my least favorite episode my any means though. Most frustrating part to me honestly was Riley and his goons; they've clearly been searching for Morgan, so why would they not come with guns from the start? Plot convenience is the answer, and it's also the answer to why Riley didn't just shoot them both upon his return even though Morgan had just killed all of his goons AND stabbed Riley himself in the arm/shoulder. This guy was literally just about to kill four of this group in the previous episode, and his group has clearly killed a lot more from their other attacks, so it's just incredibly not believable that he'd leave them to survive. Only reason I'd maybe give it a pass for is if we find out that they struck some deal with Alicia and they promised they'd try not to kill any of her people, but I don't really have faith in these writers to think that far ahead/that in depth about something that most fans will just forget about the next episode anyway.
Points for the creative attempt, but this has to be one of the worst episodes of the show. At least 75 percent of the episode seemed to serve no purpose, although the swerve at the end was surprising - I guess? - and disturbing, but it really just confirmed what we already knew. Dod anyone really believe that Grace was talking to the literal future embodiment of her unborn daughter? Add to that, Grace is probably not going to survive anyway because of the radiation poisoning, so what was the point of this episode? What was the point of killing off the baby? Is Grace going to survive a little longer, long enough to have a kid with Morgan and then die? I also expected the newborn to turn soon after Morgan pulled it out. Maybe that's just implied, and they didn't want to show it. Overall, this was a boring episode until Morgan's scuffle with the bad guys and then the last few minutes.
I was rolling my eyes the whole episode as it was clear what was going on from the start. A boring walk through the inevitable..... and then... those last 3 minutes they manage to surprise.
Are those 3 minutes enough though
what a walking crap again. omg
Omg that was dark, heartbreaking:cry:
That was different and imo great. It had my attention throughout trying to figure it all out, and by the end, nope not what I was thinking. Job well done, it was unorthodox.
I so very much appreciate anytime a long running show, in a genre that is very formulaic, takes a massive swing and tries to completely and utterly floor you with something so unexpected and (at times) bizarre. It's subjective, of course. And some will hate this type of episode. You'll get no judgment from me.
There are instances of this type of "Experimental" episode in many classic shows. Some swung and whiffed, while others connected in a way that you never would have thought possible coming from (insert show here.)
For me, this was the latter, one hundred percent. I thought I had it all figured out. I thought it was a clever plot framing device with interesting cinematography that would fade by the mid-point of the episode. I was so, so wrong. Instead, I was more invested in these long running characters and the promise of the new that showed itself throughout. And I had a great sense of genuine suspense, joy, sorrow, relief, fear, empathy... In every single minute of the runtime. And when it ended, I literally had to remind myself to breathe as I was trying to watch the final seconds through a torrent of tears.
A bit dramatic? Yeah, guilty as charged I suppose. But that's my honest experience and reaction to it. It was easily my favorite ever episode of FTWD. And it probably earns a place in my list of top All-Time "Emotionally Poignant and Tragic" episodes of television.
Bravo to everyone involved, truly.
Love the idea behind this episode but it went on way too long. Great ending. Great style.
I loved this episode.
I know it’s not more of the reality part of that show but I loooove dream concepts so much.
And the end just broke my heart so much. I was ready for Grace to go, it was gonna be sad, but I was ready. That just broke my heart so much tho :(
What a huge waste of time. The inconsistency is unbelievable. At least we know why the bunker people went after Morgan.
Well that was a punch to the gut. Good episode though.
Time to wrap it up, Just like the 3 last episodes of the Walking Dead, boring and shit acting. I didn't sign up for this crap , Quit while you're still ahead (only just)
It has good ideas and definitely unique, but I can't get over the fact that the bad guy didn't just kill Morgan outright when he's back with the car after Morgan killed his friends. He's back with a gun for god's sake. And that cheesy lines from Grace to make Morgan give the key sounds really cheap for this kind of show.
Weird episode. Good ending, tho.
So... uhm... excuse me, wait, hello, hi, sooo... but, the key though?!?!!
FTWD ran out of ideas, so has now started ripping off star trek plots
what the hell did i just watch? seriously, that added nothing to the ongoing story other than the key business, what a waste of an episode
In Dreams......Where are the going with FTWD? Very trippy episode.

this one is why i love fear the walking dead so much more than twd alone - they try to do something different now and then. and this episode caught me red-handed and left me speechless. hard and wonderful stuff at the same time. nice one!
