I’m really not liking where they are starting to lead victor. I mean he had all of that progress and now it looks like they’re destroying it.
At least we finally know what happened to grace. Locked her in a room with no light while she’s pregnant great:thumbsup:
Virginia is really starting to get on my nerves tho. I’m over it.
Why Alicia's face and neck looks dirty all the time?. I think it looks like that since the plane crash episode in the previous season.
Why Dakota always flees / escapes forward and almost always where there is more danger? for example: in the episode where they try to empty the warehouse, she runs away from the rangers by running straight to the walkers. In this one, she tries to stay with the weird guy who is a zombie taxidermist and she and both Alicia and Charlie thought he was good
Why do they keep making "deals" with Virgina?!?
First June and now Alycia. She broke every promise which would have cost her even just a little bit. Starting with (trying to) kill Morgan after she said everyone would be fine and she wanted HIM and breaking the group after she promised she wouldn't.
All of them at least know these two instances (some even more) - So why would anyone with more than one braincell make a deal with her?
Subjugation is understandable, but out of fear, not out of trust.
The deal Alycia tried to make here would have made sense if the contractual partner was Negan. He at least kept his word most of the time. (He just didn't give it very often but prefered just to take).
I get that they want to portrait Virginia as this ruthless politician who might have had good intention at some point making evil deals. But the reason politicians get away with breaking promises is not that no one notices - it is that no one really cares and there isn't anything reasonable to do.
They however DO keep the promises to their peers and donors. Why? Because they know their career is over otherwise.
Back to FTWD: June was the donor/peer last episode - literally holding her life in hand. Alycia in this Episode, being the only one able to tell her where her sister is.
Both have been burned HEAVILY before - from what we've seen otherwise probably more than just once especially according to the conversation June had with Sarah in the Episode before.
So WHY? WHY? WHY?`would you make a deal with someone like that?
The sad part is, that the community Virginia built has a good chance of survival - just not with someone at the helm constantly breaking promises.
The former US (probably the whole of North America since the canadian border probably won't influence it much with there being no major language barrier) in this show will probably look like Europe a few centuries ago soon. Multiple Nations dividing up land and resources - The problem being that having a reputation of breaking your word constantly means that no one wants to make a deal with you. And MOST CERTAINLY not an alliance - which every nation needs to survive, because the one constant in the world of human beings has always been war. Be it physical or economical - and Nations standing alone have to my knowledge always lost (There might have been exceptions - but its the general rule)
OMG they gave Alycia the worst episode of the season... (so far)
(The end was ok)
OMG Lennie James is so good, he doesn't deserve to be there
Dave Erickson honey come get me out of here
EDIT: Sooo... this was the midseason finale. That makes it even worse
Wait what? Next episode is only going to be in 2021? Why are they doing the same thing, making us wait for months for the season (mid-)finale like they did with TWD?
Introducing Norman Bates of the Walking Dead.
Well I'm enjoying it, next episode please.

What an awful first half of the season. The writing is just horrendous.
Alicia spends the entire time in that guy’s house not trusting him for a second, then he tries to shoot her, then she becomes upset when he gets impaled, and then he abruptly turns into a sympathetic character who sacrifices himself for everyone else. WHAT?
They also decided to make Strand fairly unlikable. Great job.
All these episodes felt very disjointed and Virginia is as threatening as a skunk.
They have quality characters and talented actors here. But this show can’t seem to give them solid material to work with.
